I recknon downside is limited, in the midterm,
whereas up side could be as high as 100%

this_is_me,

The results are a slight improvement on 2002, but hardly anything to shout about - You have to look very carefully at the detail. Pensions and accoutning methods should assist with your assessment.

After these results they would have to offer nearer £1 a share.

If £70m is not fair value Factsonly, what would?

Paddyfool is quite correct in the point he makes and as such, a merged operation would benefit all shareholders - What am I missing?

Results out today looking good. The chart is starting to look fantastic. Bought in first thing. Now on a p/e of 5 and a possible takeover target to boot. Can't lose on this!

The business is terribly capitaly restrained. They would have to go to the market for more to grow the business. A takeover by a company with better access to capital could be seen as a good move.

Apparently the Sunday Telegraph says that Cox Insurance is in talks of buying Highway. It says Cox will buy it at £70m. I don't think anyone would sell out at that price, it would be criminal for anyone to accept it or for the board to recommend it.

the problem with this one, is that the management intend to obtain a 5.5 return in investment assets from more active management - mainly through using specialists (see last a report) this means that......oh well, draw your onew conclusions, the market clearly has!

Anyone have a strong view on this share? Dividend seems safe and very high.

The results are out in 2 weeks, if good, does this price increase on the rumour before the results or traditionally after the results???

Its been interesting recently. I stuck £10k in a few weeks ago only to watch it stay the same. There was a bit of volume but then little movement.

There was some big instituional purchases over the last couple of years and I have always thought 50p was a good price but always seems to drift.

Anyway I still believe 40p in the next month or so and with a divvy of 7% should be a good return IMO.

Decided I liked this one today and bought in at just under 35p, which appears to be good value - with a net asset value of 36.4p per share and a dividend yield of just over 7%.

Results should be out in less than a month, so we shall see!

Bit of volume today, yield of 7%+, bottom of it's cycle (I hope).
Looking for 40p in the next couple of months + a 5% divvy in Quarter 2.
Im back in.

Well sometime since I was here and having a little look.
HWY are coming close to historic lows, so as soon as I have done a little research I can decide on what to do.

Any opinions.

Here it comes, the MMs are knocking it down a little despite the net buying, might see a jump within the week.

Based on everything available to date, I can see this hitting 48/9p within a couple of weeks.
