Nothing wrong imo for the business using a mix of equity and debt to meet the five year business plan objectives but by my rough calculation, by the end of this month they must have drawn down the entire £750k and now looking for other options.

After the share consolidation we have 125m shares in issue. If I was HELD I would try and raise £1.5m by way of 75m shares at 2p. Not extend my loan with RiverFort above the £750k and pie off Piraeus. Banks are umbrellas in sunshine anyway, not much use to fledgling businesses like this one. They will have him jumping though hoops to then say No unless he has security to give them.

But what I would say is that I would want to see a clear route to break even and then profitability. We need proof of concept, get at least that first batch of flowers out if he does that it will restore SH confidence. Personally,I would back the business on that basis.

From the Business of Cannabis on the 25th January 2024.

"It comes just a week after an announcement that Hellenic had received a letter of intent for funding from Greek multinational financial services company Piraeus Bank, which has now reportedly reviewed Hellenics five-year business plan".

That would be the 17 Jan RNS...which makes clear the qualified nature of Piraeus's support :

.."a letter of intent for funding ("Letter") which outlines the support from the bank for the provision of credit facilities on [Ed.: = after] the submission of a detailed business plan, to be [Ed.: = future tense ie not yet done] submitted on behalf of Hellenic Dynamics by a consultancy firm considered to be acceptable by Piraeus Bank...."

It's not (or shouldn't be) that difficult....

Dr. Fillipos Papadopoulos, Executive Director of Hellenic Dynamics, commented: "Piraeus Bank has been a steady supporter of Hellenic and a long term believer in the prospects of the Company".

With that level of praise and support for Hellenic, I really don't see PB refusing the loan, especially with so much to come.

State of the art facility.
POD innovation.
Massive market awaits.
With that comes great profits.
Impressive business strategy.
Quality harvest incoming.
More grants very possible.

We finish blue.....Great start to the month. 😊😊😊

Hi techguru91,

.."Pireaus Bank must have done their due dilligence ahead of the MOu in mid Jan .."

On the contrary : the RNS suggests that Piraeus is waiting on others to do that, see

.."Piraeus Bank S.A ("Piraeus Bank") has conducted a review of Hellenic Dynamics five year business plan and have issued a letter of intent for funding ("Letter") which outlines the support from the bank for the provision of credit facilities on the submission of a detailed business plan, to be submitted on behalf of Hellenic Dynamics by a consultancy firm considered to be acceptable by Piraeus Bank...."

In the normal course of events, you'd expect HELD to have (1) found a Piraeus-acceptable consultancy ; (2) commissioned them to undertake said detailed business plan; and (3) have submitted it to Piraeus.

Absent any communication from HELD on these 3 basic steps, I don't think it's safe to assume very much.

Do you?

Wall o' words but the fact remains, there was nothing in the Haffner post or in the comment by claque(?) "Ricardo Arboleda" who remains a mystery guest as to

1. sufficiency of funding at least till planting never mind cropping and
2. when the substantive planting will begin.

imo all is just puff till we get a plausible RNS addressing those 2 in plain words.

Even CEL now has contracts despite TW bedwetting about that one a year ago.

And let's keep it objective and impersonal please. I hold a significant position in this.

Hellenic Dynamics appoints ‘industry expert’ to its development team

Hellenic Dynamics Plc
LSE:HELD

Hellenic Dynamics Plc (LSE:HELD), the medicinal cannabis company, said it appointed Carl Haffner as part of its development team.

Haffner is an “industry expert”, having co-founded UK medical cannabis company Avida Global, where he was also COO, as well as CEO of Colombian-based Avida Global SAS, Hellenic Dynamics said in a statement.

Having left Avida Global in 2022, Haffner has remained active in the industry as a consultant, it added.

"As a seasoned medical cannabis industry expert I am delighted that Carl has joined our team. Having previously successfully established an EU-GMP cultivation facility, his appointment will provide additional support to ensure our targets are met,” said the chief executive of Hellenic Dynamics, Davinder Rai.

"I am delighted to become part of the Hellenic Dynamics team and am excited by the prospects of establishing, in Greece, what could become one of Europe's leading large-scale medical cannabis cultivation facilities,” said Haffner.

Quote by Ricardo Arboleda..
"As a Master Grower for Hellenic Dynamics, I'm confident that our focus on quality and innovation will contribute to establishing Greece as a benchmark of excellence".

So for ease of reference here is the url for "Carl Haffner’s Post" containing the comment quoted from Ricardo Arboleda ("... At Hellenic Dynamics, we're thrilled to be part of this transformative duty [sic]...")

hxxps://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7168862545536090112/

- but when I look at
hxxps://www.hellenicdynamics.com/team/
there's no mention of this person and inputting a site-pecific search at duckduckgo
ricardo arboleda site:www.hellenicdynamics.com
doesn't seem to bring up any page that actually has his name in it.

Well maybe not a concern, since this page apparently has a listing of all employees but you need a LinkedIn membership which I neither have nor care to try obtaining:
hxxps://uk.linkedin.com/company/hellenic-dynamics?trk=public_post_comment-text

Likewise the last AR (ye 31/3/2023) doesn't supply his name on a cntrl+f):

hxxps://www.hellenicdynamics.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Hellenic_Dynamics_Plc_Annual_Report__Financial_Statements_for_the_Period_Ended_31_March_2023_Releas.pdf

I only "got" the relevance of "Carl Haffner" and his post when I visited the second link where he's listed under the (visible part listing)of "Employees at Hellenic Dynamics".

Meantime back to the first cited url, a commenter says:

"David Winter

Thats a great fake picture of cannabis production"

More prosaically in this pr debacle is the fact that none of all the verbiage at these links gives any indications of HELD's current status in financing and growing. In other words it could all just be dismissed as puff (and maybe some blow in there too LOL), pending some hard news on the actual RNS.

That's a great fake picture of cannabis production.

Carl's rebuttal doesn't address the question or provide an obvious solution :

On 28 Dec, 2 months ago, we were told :

-Elgo Dimitra, the public research institute overseen by the Greek Ministry of Agriculture successfully began [Ed.: past tense] the cultivation of medical cannabis flowers for Hellenic Dynamics.

Not difficult, surely, to provide a photo of 'work-in-progress' ?

You have to wonder at the marketing / business skills of a management that can't come up with this simple means of allaying shareholder concerns.

. . .
Financial highlights for the period
Cash at 31 March 2023 of £2,117,159, with current cash as at 30 September 2023 of £195,780.

and an hour after that same day, from Alliance News
Hellenic Dynamics makes strategic progress with new partnerships

After that cold shower there was the more positive RNS 23rd January 2024
IN BRIEF: Hellenic up after first EUR228,318 instalment of EU grant

-- but I for one would damn well like an announcement concerning cash burn, expected resourcing and WHEN THE SUBSTANTIVE PLANTING IS GOING TO BEGIN.

Hard questions must be asked, so please commenters: no "deramper!" or "market maker shenanigans" conspiracy theories, pretty please.
