If I understand it rightly, they cab legally place the brakes on the merger.. but that would really cause a lot of havoc for both parties.. which makes me think a more peaceful approach with some commitment from the banks may avoid the problem to become a major problem.

Even if they make a challenge I cannot see them getting anywhere as the consequences of no merger are massive

lloy has been stuck at 125 resistance while shorts have been closed hbos.
I suspected that they would close hbos 1st and then lloy.
IT COULD BE HAPPENING AS ITS THE 1ST TIME FOR A WHILE LLOY HAVE GOT THROUGH 125 BARRIER

Lloyds is only up 2p at 128p.

The 2 prices are getting closer all the time.

Several analyst over xmas giving prediction ftse and dow will begin recovery within 6 months.
People dont want to miss out on the most trashed sector- banks.
