09/7/2021 09:19 | Talking of catalysts, last month SCSW did a brief write up on HSP and finished with "More next month...". Could that suggest this will be a main tip in tomorrow's edition? And if so... Will it be an interesting write up? And if so... Could that cause buying volumes to spike to a level (HSP is clearly highly illiquid so it doesn't take much) that results in HSP breaking out? All to be revealed soon. All imo DYOR | sphere25
07/7/2021 20:20 | Downing Strategic Micro Cap I.T June factsheet comment :- "Elsewhere, Hargreaves Services (-3.2%) reported a pre-close trading update which was in-line with previously upgraded earnings per share (EPS) guidance for this year from 20p to over 50p, and upgraded price target to 530p. We see scope for further catalysts over the next 12 months through the Services and Land divisions. [...] | red ninja

15/6/2021 08:39 | Certainly got here sooner than I thought but lots to hold on for. The speed and size of the upgrade for 21 caused by performance in JV must mean that it was from trading in a very short period at the end of the year. If similar conditions prevail over in Germany then there must be a chance of an early and sizeable upgrade to FY22. Also wonder if the 20p dividend could go up based on JV performance | harrogate

01/6/2021 09:42 | I do like a nice steady rise | solarno lopez
24/5/2021 07:23 | The trigger for next move is perhaps when the 2022 number gets upgraded for the JV performance. New FY starts in a week so you would think the factors causing it will be around for at least H1 22? The JV makes the numbers very lumpy and inconsistent. I wonder if they will try to sell it at the top of the cycle here? | harrogate
23/5/2021 23:25 | I think when Simon Thompson comments on the new eps forecasts you will not see the 300,s again. I think the shares will fetch over £5 this year Tiger | castleford tiger

10/5/2021 11:09 | Latest comment from Downing Strategic Micro IT:- Hargreaves Services PLC (Hargreaves) (7.64% of net assets) Cost: £3.65m. Value as at 28 February 2021, £3.25m Background Hargreaves Services is a diversified group delivering key projects and services to the industrial and property sectors. The Distribution and Services division aims to generate sustainable profitability through operations across the energy and infrastructure sectors in the UK, Europe and Asia. The Property and Land division aims to generate value through the development and/or disposal of the companies’ significant land bank which currently includes planning permission for 4,700 residential plots, and 4 million square feet of logistics and industrial space. Update to the investment case Lacklustre performance due to Covid-19 delays Further developments at Blindwells site FY results expected to be in line with board expectations New board appointment Sale of Speciality Coal to HRMS Progress against investment case Hargreaves was heavily impacted by the pandemic - delays around land disposals affected the Land business, and delays in HS2 deployment affected the Services business. However, this has set up 2021 for a bumper year and the news flow from the company has been promising. There have been two further land sales announced at Blindwells. The German joint venture is trading ahead of expectations and the Unity joint venture within the Land business also completed a major sale of a 79 acre plot which will generate revenue for the JV of £25 million. | red ninja
