Car Maintenance was also strong this year, despite a definite lack of winter. Against this, like-for-like sales growth of 4.9% was impressive and illustrates our growing reputation as experienced and skilled fitters able to provide our customers with excellent service. Car Enhancement sales were flat this year after a few years of decline; this reflects much better overall execution right across the business, from Stores, the DC, the Support Centre and Halfords Asia.

3.5 year closing high yesterday.

Just acquired Boardman Bikes - Tour de France starts in Yorkshire on July 5th.

Should be a nice month ahead for HFD imo - with their Interim Statement due on July 10.

Testing the highs again = strong pound means the stuff they import gets a lot cheaper imo.

no probs rathlindri - think these are gagging to break out on a bit market firmness.

Retail too a bit of a hit yesterday on short term news but that just sets retail up for a good month ahead as they surprise to the better imo.

I'm also a long term holder here, and well pleased with recent report and share price gains. Plenty more to come; patience should be rewarded.
