Bought back in ahead of the last trading update rathlindri. Traded out and in again since - thought there might have been a better pull back but was being a bit too optimistic :-)

The last trading update for the last Q says to me the next trading update is likely to be significantly ahead of expectations imo.

All imo/dyor etc.

Cycling was clearly the stand-out performer at Halfords, with every element of Cycling growing strongly this year, including 16% growth in PACs, 29% growth in Cycle Repair and 30% growth in Premium Bike sales. This wasn't just because of a few weeks of better weather. We really improved our ranges and service levels, made the right decisions on stock levels and strengthened our specialist credentials in the eyes of our customers. Cyclists are getting more and more inspired by what Halfords can offer, so it's fantastic that we've extended our relationships with brands like Pinarello and Raleigh whilst recently bringing great new brands on board, such as Kona and Mongoose.

Excellent. I am very pleased with these results. There is a lot more to come. Just on the cycling scene, Tour of Italy and Tour de France starts in Britain as does Commonwealth Games. Our crop of Professional riders are doing well. Youngsters take all this in and emulate. The country roads are packed with bikes. These mainly people are buying and encouraging their families to go with them to buy. Go into any halfords and listen / talk. It is happening.
Go to the auto centres and look / talk. Business is brisk and a lot of new fleet
business is coming their way.
I am sorry my 'research' is of a more basic kind, but viewing Kendo and Nicks posts leads me to believe that there is likely to be considerable upside for some time to come. £7 + ? Yes, why not.

5 pounds would be nice! The analysts are impressed and buy ratings will be issued.Matt Davis doesn't seem to be putting a foot wrong. He is investing profits into his business wisely and will be rewarded in 2016 by a share price north of £7 pounds a share. However I'm only in it for a day.

If all is well at 10 as I'm sure it will be there's no reason this can't pass previous highs

41% LFL growth for cycling in the last Qtr.I bet Evans cycles did no produce a set of figures like that.Bit of a price shake down but I see the volumes on L3 waiting to get in as cheap as possible.Should be a good bet for first QTR results too.Not a a much as I had hoped for but its miles away from my stop loss. I'm pretty much waiting for the conference.
