03/12/2024 11:13 | The buyback program merely allows peel and cannacord to sit on the book to prevent bad actors from crashing the share price prior to the most obvious incoming takeover in stock market history. So far they have spent 20,000At this stage of the May-July buyback they had spent 7,400,000..... Lololol | redbed
03/12/2024 11:10 | Has been very quiet for gulf here and no buybacks is intriguing. At some point we must be due an ops update. Definitely something going on in the background. Buyback changed to dividend would be good. | nicbw01

03/12/2024 10:14 | No idea what this means for the 2nd reading. I think he's just saying what we already know which is that the amendment is awaiting parliamentary approval. He works in Sudani's office as his financial advisor so presumably they're working hard to get the bill voted on and passed in Parliament during the current parliamentary session which supposedly ends this week, although they do seem to be able to get these sessions extended when it suits them. Prime Minister's advisor: The budget is awaiting parliamentary changes to align with the government's plans. Today, 11:48 INA- Baghdad. The financial adviser to Prime Minister Madhar Mohammed Saleh confirmed on Tuesday that the financial situation in the country is currently governed by the federal budget law, while noting that the budget is waiting for amendments to suit the government program. Saleh told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The financial situation in the country is currently governed by the Federal Budget Law No. 13 of 2023 in accordance with the three-year budget law (2023, 2024 and 2025)." He added that "the legislation and approval of the federal general budget for the year 2025 has become a collection as a law under the tripartite budget and has been legally approved," noting that "the tripartite budget law was submitted and legislated for the year 2025 under the tripartite federal budget law, which was issued in the Official Gazette in June 2023, and there is an amendment to the paragraphs related to the revenues and expenses of the region before the parliament to make amendments that suit the government program." | habshan

03/12/2024 09:16 | We had 2 reports on Sunday, one saying that the 2nd reading would be yesterday and the other saying it would be in the coming days. All the news from Parliament yesterday was about the Personal Status Law and the Land Restitution Law and one other so maybe the 2nd reading of the Budget Law has been rescheduled for later in the week but there's been nothing in the media so far and at the moment the media seems to be preoccupied with Syria. Sunday's meeting between the parties to prepare for the 2nd reading seemed to go well and apparently ended in agreement. So we wait. | habshan
