GKPhero: the Mark Leftly 18 December 2011 article is a real puzzle.

Award-winning journalist Mr. Leftly insisted at the time, and he continues to insist, that what he wrote was properly sourced. One of Jeremy Asher's close supporters claimed to have met Mr. Leftly, and said that Mr. Leftly had been shown a GKP board document. If I recall correctly, it was a board agenda with numbered items. Depending upon who met Mr. Leftly and showed him that document, one probably would (or would not) be able to rule it out as a forgery. He was clearly convinced that what he published was correct.

A very considerable complication for anyone who claims that Mr. Leftly made it all up, or whatever, is that a number of things he said in that article can be independently confirmed. Including via the words in his subsequent article of two months later in which he said that Exxon had "run the slide rule over Shaikan".

He stopped writing about GKP not long afterwards, and moved to the politics desk, because of a threat made against him by unnamed shareholders. One of the detectives dealing with the current threats of violence made on here is aware of the threat referred to by Mr. Leftly.

Looking at the total shares traded so far today - it's actually in percentage terms of shares issued very little!

Someone has said on another board that they have got the oo shares but their broker won't allow trading until the 17th.

Since we all have to get them at the same time it's Monday then.

Why the delay? GKP incompetence or something else.

But we all have to get them, otherwise the note holders have no power.
