JPPP, I don't think it was MISOLDB but can ask him as I speak to him a few times a week. Unfortunately he is unwell at the moment, not the virus but serious. He's due to go into hospital but as you can imagine he had no idea when at the moment. Zoo

Anyone got any views on prefs? I think some are looking cheap. Was it MISOLDB or someone else that was big on those in the old days? he always had some good ideas worth thinking about

UP, cant make it too soft and gentle for them. I still? don't get it, the virus doesn't give you the runs, but you're the guy to ask. From the man himself who has witnessed this first hand. Is there a requirement for ten years supply of loo rolls?By the way how are you and the family doing? Zoo

Alan, apparently Aldi has reduced a lot of prices due to being overstocked. Isaw it on FB so popped in and picked up a few bottles of Grouse. GGP dropped back so picked up the same cash amount as this morning for 4.25 so not unhappy about that. Given the way the markets are I split my buys into three so I can try to catch them either way they move. Today paid off. What's this about breakfast? Are the trolls acting like children again? No wonder no one bothers entering into discussions with them or should I say the one. Best thing was to put them on ignore I don't need to read their rubbish. The Trolls massive posting the other day was enough. Back to sunbathing and looking out over the water. Yes Troll I have a house that looks out over water. Standby for the green eyed monster to raise from his two up two down. I don't have to read it either.Zoo

My cheery thought for the day. We've just come out of Austerity, with a new Govt promising new things - and they did try to deliver on that. The Austerity package at the end of this is going to be truly biblical. The journos will pick up on that at some stage, and that'll really kick the market. Who knows when that is, but they will have to freshen up their stories soon, or find more on Prince Andrew...

we all know this market will be volatile with up and down days, as Ive said before, I don't have the trading skill, so am largely on the side lines and mostly in cash, so can't play that game.

I'm not eeyore, I like to think I'm a realist but i am quite good at looking ahead.

This will pass, and good companies will return to what they were pretty much, that is big picture, but at some point I think there will be some more ugly days.

the only other conclusion I have reached is that lower for longer, is lower for ever. How on earth can any nation service their debt otherwise? we aint going to pay this down with tax rises. £ may be weaker without the Euro support that it might have once had, although it was never guaranteed we'd get it.

Interesting that Sweden have gone the other way and stayed open. I think Boris wanted to do that but couldn't get the support.

Alan, yes the clapping was great. But on the news it showed streets of people standing next to each other. Maybe people should have stood at open windows. But nevertheless great solidarity in paying respect and thanks.Zoo
