Alan. Not sure why our broker is so negative but it is probably that GFM are not a share they investigate in great detail or research- thus making their view just cursory and based on the limited info available made worse by the BoD Comm’s strategy.
Rose - I agree one could read something into the competent person having share options but don’t think there’s anything sinister. I and others have commented in detail before about major shareholders and I actually believe they don’t want the massive potential continuously spouted about AT THIS POINT IN TIME other than the minimum they are required to issue by the relevant company law. So there’s a counter view for you to consider. The results are due soon but even if only average the JORC updates and licence are the key to moving forward. Old iii colleagues PLEASE don’t get drawn into slanging matches with some posters on this board - if u don’t like them put on block.

Rose, you said a while back that you required the use of a dating agency. Was that because your not capable of decent communication. You don't own this BB it is not yours. STOP attacking people, do you not realise people just think you're crass! It obvious you just do it for attention. Very sad indeed.

I expect there are some in here who would complement
the BOD for incentivizing the competent person to
come up with a favorable report.

Stay tuned?

The competent person who is resposible for the Resource upgrade works for CSA but is the beneficiary of share options in GFM
how has this arisen?
Surely there is a conflict of interests

Not worthy of discussion apparently
Amazing

Rose, why shouldn’t decent people who have exchanged views and ideas for years behave in a civilised manner towards each other. Actually we don’t always agree but we still show respect.

Hi CD, totally agree more interested in the debates rather than how much people have or are making. You'll remember we had this on iii and it was agreed that no-one was bothered about other people's so called profit given it is faceless people who have in the past been found out to have multiple sign-on and tend to lie. Thus a waste of time.Looking to see what comes up.Zoo

Millwallfan why do you think my broker still has it as a sell,it really puzzles me,I thought yesterday's news would count for something I couldn't possibly sell these now ,

Hi all - I got the P/E ratio from the Griffin fundamentals page on my This is Money Power Portfolio. Apologies if it is out of date or way off beam. For the purpose of clarity, sagemans reference to my comments elsewhere in a previous life almost a couple of years ago I had suggested within a balanced argument and trying not to ramp that £2 was quite possible for Griffin. That was based on a decent rise in commodity prices and being debt free and the licence. The latest JORC on zone iii alone brings this back into the realms of possibility and should the zone ii and VII be something similar then with the increased production available post final licence I concur with sage even my earlier musings might be a tad prudent !!!

Hi sage etc etc, im very disappointed ,my stockbroker in London has had GFM down as a sell for a long time, mainly because of no news,I rang them this afternoon expecting an upgrade only to be told they still have it down as a sell, they said they are waiting for the results to come out to get a fuller picture,I think you are right about a dividend ( don't tell rose) whilst I was on to them I mentioned CAML,and I'm afraid they are not keen on them either, they are extremely upbeat about BANGO so one out of three looks good, good luck,

Podgy, thanks for the heads up on CAML. PE ratio 11.6 vs GFM 6. It gives a good indicator of where our share price would be if we likewise paid a dividend and were able to adopt better communications and transparency. However, the upside here is even greater with the license in place. Our mine has far greater resources than published and we can install another ball mill. Once this game of chess with the Chinese has finished the BOD will drill the living daylights out of it. Just IMHO but on that basis and with zinc and gold at a decent price even MWF's more optimistic share price projections from a previous life on iii look conservative.

Most of the rise still there. I managed to
get upwards of 110 for my 40k tax year sell
off. Don't mind it falling back before I buy
back in.

For Vesna09- I don't know what online broker
you are using, but my experience was that I
tried to put in an immediate sell "at best" for
the whole tranche I was selling, and was told
they had to send it off for execution, asking me
to add a limit price. The order came back only
partially filled, so to sell the rest I found
by experiment that I could only get an immediate
at best quote by limiting the number of shares to
10,000. I did several sales at that amount which
went through right away. This cost several
commissions of course, but I wanted to complete
the sale before the end of the tax year.

ADVFN financial page on Griffin says the PE Ratio
is 6, apparently changed daily on previous day's price,
not a projection.

I think its very strange that the Competent Person signing off GFM's resource update has GFM options.

MF - your current PER is no where near 4.12. Stocko puts 2018 PER at 6.6 and 2019 at 7.4, both based on woefully inflated earnings forecasts.

A company with more accurate forecasts is CAML - that's on a current year PER of 9 and similar for next year.

CAML has excellent corporate governance, pays a dividend .... GFM should be on a PER of 6 in my estimation on this basis, but equally on a PER of 6 based on reasonable earnings forecasts, not what is out there at the moment.

I think a few know that and sold into this morning's rise.

Still watching - GLA but I think many of you are wrong.
