05/4/2019 19:35 | CD, I think Bill Gates and Richard Branson dropped out of Uni did they not.Are they poor? I've employed people who've been or not been to uni, both proved to be very good. But it's pure arrogance for someone to make educational snobbery statements. Uni opens doors but there needs to be mental capacity in order to achieve.Just look at Westminster as an example!Zoo | zooman

05/4/2019 15:34 | Rose is correct the capacity is 1.5m tonnes. The debt was incurred as a result of the deal whereby we extended the length of our lease and thereafter upgraded our processing capacity. It took forever to pay off the debt because commodity prices tanked. The mine itself has always been excellent. We await the new license. Then we will drill as fast as we can. Do not be surprised if the BOD use the cash to further upgrade capacity which I believe is why they are currently building cash holdings. I am not expecting debt. I would expect them to sell once they have maxed out capacity and got some strong trading/profit numbers recorded. My timescale is 3-5 years but it depends on the license. | sageman
05/4/2019 15:00 | keepingafloat- Your point 1- The processing plant has indeed been upgraded to 1.5 million tonnes in anticipation of the zone II licence, but actual ore processed in 2017 was only 968,080 tonnes (and that a record). Your point 3- the board have a history of delaying return to investors on the excuse that they are putting all profits into expansion. They have also borrowed. As the processing plant clearly has spare capacity for now, we ought not to have to expand it precipitously. | rose_by_another_name

05/4/2019 14:36 | In an attempt to return the BB to issues pertinent to GFM, I will post comments on the recent Mineral Resource upgrade. In the BoD’s announcement there is a prominent statement ‘$7.8 billion metal in situ in Zone III’. Being an accountant, I immediately looked for the assumptions on which this was based. Not only were there no assumptions, there was not even any reference to this statement in the released document. Why was the statement included? My calculations indicate that $7.8bn is probably based on the total recoverable resources at current prices. Is this a sound basis? Most interesting is the implications of the possible ore being upgraded to 48.7m tonnes. Based on current production capacity of 1.5m tonnes, these are: 1) It would take 32 years to process ore from Zone III, ignoring the current production (how long is the pending licence?); 2) At today’s prices, annual turnover at full capacity would be circa $240m compared to $126m in 2017; 3) Increased capex to increase capacity would seem to be inevitable. | keepingafloat
05/4/2019 11:52 | Cd something went wrong and I may send a half baked message. I will start again. From memory you have never posted on either of the boards one message that offered advice or coherent thoughts on the merits of the company. We have heard, many times, about morons, your exotic holidays, your villa in Spain, your Bentley and of course your holding of 600k shares bought at 3.5p costing £30k If you are going to boast make sure you get your “facts” right. Are you sure it wasn’t 60000 bought for your 30 grand? Further I find it quite extraordinary that someone with such a holding as you claim appears to hold no other shares, at least none that you follow on any BB. I am not a moron nor are the others you castigate but feel free to add me to you list. | gailes5
05/4/2019 11:40 | CD You are a legend! I cannot remember one post from you either here or on the IiI Board that offered any advice or coher | gailes5
