I suppose it hinges on whether they can maintain the divi but also whether the improvement in recent trading they are keen to point to can be sustained. Last year they had a stoing xmas performance.

The cold weather might deter or encourage folks to the pub. And the company are fond of blaming the weather. The do generate a fair amount of cash but clearly costs pressures and deliveroo etc are taking a bite out of their revenue.

The biggest issue I have is that I would need beer goggles to see this as a turnaround story and although I continue to hold I have a gut feeling that I would be better off to hop it.

I am a newcomer to this share had an average about 570 ( in ISA and Pension) sold out at 525.5 and transferred to Mars 114.8, i thought their results were far superior to GNK, i think some more trouble ahead here..

see where we are after the new year.

It's the precipitous FCF fall which stands out.

Directors did not buy the share price decline over the past two years (open market purchases).
They made a good call, with a once £9 a share level looking like another lifetime now.

I had a dabble @501.5p and closed +25p - only long term (6 years) hold in the sector is MARS.

I got 499.7, now out, the report does not read well.

Net debt rising, profitability falling, and this with record UK
employment.

Small trade only this morning only, pays for a few drinks.

Still about £700 in the minus on my GNK trades over the past 12 months.

Bought a few at 505 this morning. Armageddon, 'dividend cuts' etc all a bit overstated IMHO, though they've clearly blotted their copybook concerning their 'premium rating' to their peer group.

Had a nice steak lunch at GNK's 'The Audley' in Mayfair yesterday. Top quality pub and rammed to the rafters. If only they were all like this ;-)
