03/5/2021 18:18 | Daddy You are so right, Newcrest only have an interest in a discovery, and Jv's in others. Valuing GGP a 2000 million you have to ask if any major wants to buy the lot lock stock and barrel. You could have a very interesting situation, but IMHO it is not likely. These big boys do talk officially or not (maybe at the Melbourne Miner Dinners)and why upset the apple cart and start bidding wars that is not in any of their interests. If A get one company they most likely do not need no2 but a competitor does, so even if not by agreement all get what they need, which is working mines into the future, without out pricing each other. I do not know what GGP is worth or Havieron time will tell, but I think well in excess of 30p a share. | mikedon1946
03/5/2021 15:44 | There is nothing to stop another major making a play for Greatlands 30% of Havieron, should Newcrest try a low offer.Again there is nothing to stop another major from making an offer, which Newcrest would probably have to better. So nothing can be taken for granted about Greatlands share of Havieron. | daddy warbucks

03/5/2021 10:40 | There are many scenarios in play , one out of ten will become true, nobody with any certainty can predict. We all speculate, including Steve Todoruk. As I said, I exchanged emails with him during the Mariana Resources days. I also asked him about GGP regarding Sprott report back in 2019. Recent movement in POG did affect GGP and mining sector. Now, there are few things that shareholders should be looking forward to this year. I assume that second JORC will land sometimes in H2 as well as PFS. Drilling campaign at JURI , see bellow, may produce some unexpected (earth-shattering) results...one can hope so. Then , Scallywag second drilling campaign, hope they learned their lesson from the previous campaign. Ruddall, they should be drilling there as well. JV at Ernest Giles ? So, plenty of work to be done in 2021, rerate will come if all falls into place. Price of AU and CU as well. GLA! "Greatland Gold will manage the Juri Joint Venture until the end of calendar year 2021, after which Newcrest has the right to be appointed as Manager. Newcrest and Greatland Gold have agreed an exploration program until the end of calendar year 2021 which is anticipated to drill test priority targets, which will initially include the Goliath target. Subsequent drilling will focus on the Parlay target within the Black Hills Project and the Outamind and Los Diablos targets within the Paterson Range East Project." | pr0t0n
03/5/2021 09:23 | lurker5 - the Prophet of Doom has arrived. | uknighted
03/5/2021 09:11 | Todoruk's worst case scenario looks the most likely. In which case GGP will be 'rerated' downwards. Why? Because its 'share' of income from Havieron won't be under its control. And if received will be poured into GGP's general coffers to fund whatever else is going on, so will be discounted by investors. It all depends on the numbers of course, but is why some baled out and won't return until the future becomes clearer. The best outcome for GGP shareholders would be a cash (or Newcrest shares) offer for just its share of Havieron. But why would Newcrest bother when, as things are, it can totally control Havieron. (WE don't know either, of course, whatever might be in the jv small print) | lurker5

02/5/2021 11:47 | I decided to increase my holding here five fold off the back of Thursdays excellent RNS and share price drop, then I thought better of it and doubled it again! With hindsight I would have been better to wait and catch the drop on Friday! Is the market a bit thick?Didn't they read Thursday's RNS?So if Newcrest take us out we win! However, if Newcrest don't take us out we become a very profitable gold miner so we win..... I think I can live with that! | mrpiggy

So below I have posted the email I sent to him and also his reply. Make of it what you will.Fri 30/04/2021 11:08Hi Steve, Thanks for your updates regarding Chalice, Greatland & Castillo Copper, but i'm asking you for your latest thoughts of where you see Greatland Gold (GGP) in the next 1-3 years. Are you still positive about the company and do you still see a buy-out being the most probable outcome. Thanks in advance.############ | goodday1
