28/5/2024 16:48 | Agreed Yasrub. This is the one share that I have confidence in and am will be holding for a very long time. Sold some OPG holding today to top up my Goodwin holding. It was recently hovering around £70 recently, won't be long before it back up there.... | ![]() turbocharge
25/5/2024 18:12 | I feel recent capital allocation has shown how focused management are. I think an element of patience has been required but that is the beauty they are not looking for quick PR wins some of the opportunities look potentially game changing to me. | ![]() yasrub
25/5/2024 17:21 | Thanks, Hope i'm not being overly concerned but one cannot pass on the thought that there might be a case for having too many irons in the fire. The younger generation are, after all, quite young with Tim, the Chairman, for instance just 34 years of age. There is a need to stay focused but i am confident the younger (and dynamic) Goodwins will be recieving plenty of wise councel from the older generation. | ![]() cfro
25/5/2024 14:55 | cfro It's not new, we've been the majority shareholder for years, though we did become sole shareholder fairly recently. Looking at it's accounts at doesn't make me think you've missed very much by being unaware of it. I suspect it's one of those types of subsidiaries that lots of companies seem to have where it doesn't really make much sense, so you just scratch your head a bit and move on. | ![]() bareknee
25/5/2024 13:47 | In the Sunday Times rich list publication from last weekend i saw that they had Tim Goodwin at no. 12 in the 40yo and under category with total wealth of £245m.. I am not sure how they exactly came about that figure as the shareholdings are spread across the family and generations.. Just an aside, i was looking through all their various divisions recently and came across "Internet Central" I can't say that i had ever seen this mentioned in any of their communications to investors in all the time i have been invested here. Is this a new division? Anybody else know anything about this one? | ![]() cfro

29/4/2024 07:24 | I dont think gdwn needs a split. Look what share price has done longterm, without it... patience and execution | ![]() arregius
28/4/2024 19:31 | I'm hearing from 'the kids on the street' that GDWN's liquidity is such that it'll be included in the FTSE All-Share at the next evaluation (it had been excluded on liquidity grounds previously) and that indeed it is a potential candidate for the inclusion in the FTSE 250 if the share price stays starting with a 7 at the end of May. | ![]() cockerhoop
28/4/2024 16:54 | Unfortunately Alexis to get into the FTSE250 the rules state shares must have reasonable liquidity and I would therefore be surprised if Goodwin qualified! The next change in the constituents of the FTSE250 is June. | ![]() kneecaps2
28/4/2024 16:14 | I am wondering whether Goodwin is a candidate to be promoted soon to the FTSE250 index. According to Sharecast website, Goodwin's market cap is now around £488m, and there are currently about 12 companies in FTSE250 with a market cap less than that. Might account for some of the recent buying interest/share price rise? | ![]() alexisk
28/4/2024 09:19 | I agree Goodwin is very illiquid and have suggested to the directors on numerous occasions that they should have a share split. I believe there would be far more interest in this superb company if this happened and would help Goodwin long term. | ![]() kneecaps2
28/4/2024 06:43 | I guess investors are realizing the longterm potential of the many growth fronts the company has going forward... and agree, this is illiquid, both sides | ![]() arregius

27/4/2024 08:52 | Its a concentrated share register with, to the best of my knowledge, no instititions. The tender at 48 pounds a year ago meant that trading or loose shareholders have exited. When new buyers appear, there are no natural sellers hence the price goes up | ![]() westofengland

18/4/2024 08:19 | Vespel SP-21 (with 15% graphite) is priced at around 5000 USD per kilo. I used a 12.7cm x 12.7cm x 0.8cm sheet which weighs around 200 grams and is sold for 1150 USD at Boedeker. So plenty of potential to undercut on price and still achieve great margins. | ![]() cockerhoop |
