yes, goldplat is north west of the area in that prospecting application.

Most of them know of goldplat and will be looking to supply it with waste to ensure their mining applications are ok on the waste front.

According to the announcement in the benoni city times in july of last year - upwardspiral that has worked with Goldplat before, applied for permission to mine gold ore on a surface dump on portion 1 of the Farm Modderfontein 76 IR.

According to the DMR list of mines in south africa - goldplat recovery is...

I think DRD have different priorities atm.

As GDP is valued at £200 per recoverable oz in the stockpile it is always open to this sort of thing as long as the valuation is so low.

drd were asked in 2012 about buying goldplat, they said nothing was off the table, however, they were concentrating on their volume tailings business.

That might be why they are pretty reticent about saying where the pipe actually is.

I cannot think that a deal with DRD is going to take long to agree, or indeed to execute.

Drd strategic targets from their 2017 report...

To seek out opportunities through co-operation or acquisitions that are suitable for the expansion or roll-out of our business model.

During FY2018, we are planning gold production of between 138 000 ounces and 145 000 ounces at cash operating costs of approximately R480 000/kg

the majority of the material treated by the Ergo plant – currently around 1.2Mtpm – is delivered via two feeder lines from the Elsburg tailings complex, Van Dyk and
Ezekiel reclamation sites. A further 0.6Mtpm is delivered from the City Deep area (including 4L2, 3L42 and externally sourced sand).

The Ergo plant has treatment capacity of 1.8Mtpm based on 92% availability. Vast quantities of material is delivered monthly to the plant and, as each old dump or dam is depleted, others are brought on stream


They have suffered thefts of their pipeline parts, whihch is a daily concern, however in 2017 someone stole 500 metres of HDPE pipleine between the rondebult sewage plant and the elsburg tailings complex was an event not experienced before.

Well I don't think the loans are in the balance sheet because they will cancel out in the consolidated acounts.

The assets will fall out of the accounts but IMV these are already valued negatively by the market.
