11/10/2018 13:54 | A few positive effects on gdp if we see a step up in gold price:1) each $100 pog increase adds around $5m to npv of dam project, or circa 2p a share2) mining projects that were previously unprofitable in SA become profitable - increasing supply of available material3) economics at kili improve In the meantime, we have a decent amount of recovery business available to keep us ticking over :) | wigwammer
11/10/2018 09:01 | Over on the rampers thread the desperate duo ar getting even more............. desperate as the share price FALLS so close to the AGM LLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLL | 1rodson
11/10/2018 06:15 | It will get the cash in a lot quicker and they would be able to monetise the uranium which I don't think GDP would. This was number 1 on their priorities and they say if discussions with a third party go well they could start by June. None of this will count for anything until an actual deal is announced, preferably with numbers. | kimboy2
10/10/2018 20:31 | makes sense, considering the drawn out process to get the pit | sea7
10/10/2018 19:29 | That would appear optimal | kimboy2
10/10/2018 19:22 | Get the tsf processed by a third party and continue with the process to acquire the pit anyway. | sea7
10/10/2018 19:06 | Wonder how much of this university information they will be able to use if DRD do it. Also notice Hansie said; At our current rate of deposition, the new TSF will give us about 15 years to 20 years’ life with further options to extend the life This would seem to confirm that the intention, if they use the pit, is to process about 100kt pa. That would produce a pbt of about £1.5m pa for 15-20 years. The suggestion is also that the present tailings can be reprocessed later. Better to get DRD to do it in a couple of years IMV. | kimboy2
10/10/2018 15:59 | Only 2 weeks until the AGM. Wonder what rabbit will be pulled out the hat. | russman
10/10/2018 15:49 | as all three of those people from the university went with hansie and bob, It would be fair to say that with their backgrounds, they are the ones working closely with goldplat on the optimisation of its operations. plenty of time to chat with each other as well - long trip to russia. | sea7
10/10/2018 15:35 | as Mr Snyders and Mr Akdogan, were at the impc with hansie and bob, perhaps the paper they both wrote... Gold CIP and CIL process optimization in a capital constraint environment ..was done using data from goldplats CIL section. In the report dated 2016, they state the plant aims to elute 1000kg activated carbon a day, 1 tonne column. Perhaps they were using goldplats one tonne column data before the new column was installled. | sea7
10/10/2018 14:56 | neil snyders also works at outotec | sea7
10/10/2018 14:53 | I see that hansie and bob were in russia in september at the impc2018 .. Thursday 20th september press hall session 63.. SMALL SCALE PROCESSING OF AU FROM A WEATHERED REFRACTORY ORE TAILINGS HEAP (p. 439) Neil Snyders1, G. Akdogan1, S.M. Bradshaw1, J.H. van Vreden2, R. 10/10/2018 14:27 | last december.... Goldplat Recovery COO Hansie van Vreden explains that all the lab-scale testwork has been concluded by the university and pilot-plant-scale testwork will be done at Goldplat Recovery’s operation in Benoni to see whether that delivers similar results, compared with the lab-scale testwork, which includes flotation and standard leaching or a combination of both. | sea7

09/10/2018 19:45 | I am not looking for GKG's head. I believe he has turned this around. I bought back in recently because I thought that the recovery business would be firing on all cylinders and that cash burn from Kili would be over. So where are we on that? - SA is doing well as always - Ghana is not and needs focus - Kili not improved at all - company still wants to buy another mine despite off loading other Prospective mine. Ostensibly to set up another recovery operation. To my mind they need to put all of their effort into fixing Ghana and keeping SA on track. Yes maybe getting the dam up and running. They want to open another recovery - they need to think more imaginatively. Finally Kili needs to be gone not expanded. And we should not be buying more mines for whatever reason. I think we are too small and need to keep the focus. GKG needs to get this and the company will fly. Am holding but not happy and the longer this goes on (and Kili drains us) I may well flip to the get rid of GKG side. | ironstorm

09/10/2018 13:26 | said jorc report... | sea7
09/10/2018 13:24 | If people wish to make their investment decisions on the stock dam not existing that is fine, but I would point out that they have a JORC on it done a couple of years ago. | kimboy2
09/10/2018 13:19 | mf.. in the top right hand corner of this satellite picture is the stock dam - you will see It is not a small structure and has had material being put into it for over 15 years If you look at the bottom of the picture, you see the deposition pit they have been trying to get hold of. | sea7 |
