09/10/2018 13:13 | The stock dam if it still exists is a disgrace. WTF is going on? Nothing we must presume but many list it as an asset worth many millions? | michaelfenton
09/10/2018 13:03 | dd - they said selected tailings, which they then commissioned a cil plant to work through them over a five year period from march 2013 until this year - the stock dam hasn't been touched at all. | sea7
09/10/2018 12:58 | already seen a few sells go through - no drop in price as yet. | sea7

09/10/2018 09:58 | DD, The listing document stated that goldplat is aiming at being a mid tier miner with recovery operations in south africa and ghana. They enhanced the south africa operation and delivered on the ghana plant. The mining ambitions were flawed and the wrong projects chosen. Gerard has said that he views goldplat as a junior miner with the recovery plants, so he has watered down the original aim of the company a bit, however, it is still in line with the core objective of goldplat plc as outlined years ago. The contract management under demetri fell apart when the gold price dropped, which was the cause of a lot of the balance sheet issues. Gerard has spent the first three years of his tenure cleaning up and correcting the mess left behind by others | sea7
09/10/2018 09:40 | from june 2012... A longer term project is also being investigated whereby Goldplat plans to reprocess selected tailings from Goldplat Recovery's own operation. A feasibility study is in progress with laboratory and bulk samples having been processed successfully. Once commissioned, this project should have a significant positive impact on the costs of transport and procurement of raw materials for Goldplat Recovery and hence improve profitability for many years to come. NEW CEO APPOINTED AUGUST 2012. May 2013 The Company has also continued to invest in new capital projects to increase the gold recovery processing capacity at GPL, reduce its stockpile inventory and in turn further increase the South African recovery operations profitability. With this in mind, GPL commissioned the new tailings re-treatment carbon-in-leach ('CIL') plant on time and within budget in March 2013. This CIL will reprocess selected tailings which are currently on site at GPL and that are estimated to comprise five years' worth of production May 2014 Goldplat is also working closely with the Department of Mineral Resources in relation to in-country illegal mining activities on surface and believes that it can assist in reducing the impact of this problem to the benefit of the Company. As a result, Goldplat is in the process of licensing a potential final deposit site for its re-processed tailings stockpiles on a previously disturbed area without increasing GPLs footprint. august 2014 Test work results have also been received from a South African University that is researching a process to retreat GPL's current tailings. The initial results are very encouraging and indicate that a new process can be developed and introduced that will improve the current plant recovery significantly and allow the retreatment of the tailings at GPL and other similar tailings resource NEW CEO APPOINTED -GERARD FEB 2015. jan 2016 Goldplat plc, the AIM listed African gold producer, is pleased to announce the completion of a JORC-compliant Resource Statement for the Tailings Storage Facility (‘TSF’) at the Goldplat Recovery (Pty) Limited operations in South Africa (‘GPL’). GPL has been depositing tailings onto this TSF since January 2003 with the intention to eventually reprocess the material as it is known to contain significant quantities of gold and other minerals. In order to be able to accurately assess the economic viability of reprocessing the TSF it is necessary to know the mineral content and distribution of value within the TSF, and the metallurgy in order to design an appropriate processing facility and production plan. ............ Conclusions. they did a feasibility study into selected tailings on site, commissioned a cil tailings retreatment plant in 2013 to process 5 years worth of tailings. That would be complete by now. No mention whatsoever of the stock dam, apart from a study by a university, if they are actually refering to the stock dam. Also, one other point, many years ago demetri manolis said in an rns that the smelter was installed in kenya. I asked Gerard about the smelter in kenya - he said to me, that he had no knowledge of any smelter in kenya - I provided the rns - he said there definitely isn't one there - so what happened to it, did it actually get installed, did it vanish during the care and maintenance status in 2013 when loads of staff were retrenched. | sea7
09/10/2018 09:33 | They did look at doing something with the stock dam 6 years ago and I assume given they did do a feasibility study that processing it was not cost effective, if it was the golden egg that the paid rampers on here are saying then I’m sure they would have actioned something before now - yes things change I know that. By 'feasibility report' I presume you mean Manolis had a look into the economics of doing it. The assumption that it was not cost effective because they didn't do it is a leap too far logically. You may remember that GDP were putting fires out all over the place at this time. Very few give any value to the stock dam, the market certainly doesn't. I believe we will find out whether that is correct or not in the not too distant future. | kimboy2

09/10/2018 08:47 | shareholder, because I am not going to deramp a company and spread negativity purposely with the intent of driving people out of a stock - that is in the realms of manipulation and I have no desire to be putting my career at risk, by being accused of intentionally trying to manipulate a stock by deramping the hell out of it. companies are perfectly capable of creating their own negativity. I may draw attention to publicly available statements or point out obvious negatives on occasion, however, I need to be optimistic, otherwise I would need to be shorting. | sea7
09/10/2018 08:40 | Sea if you want the share price to go down why do you post so optimistically Surely this is the time to post negative stuff so you can hover up more shares You appear to be closely connected to GDP and post suff that would keep the share price up Most interesting | shareholder7
09/10/2018 08:36 | not quite sure what you mean by that DD, - I have been involved with Goldplat since april 2007 and have read every rns, all news items and read the listing document from cover to cover. I can see the story of the company and what line the story is taking. Even when I wasn't holding a position I kept up to date on all news and changes. Good luck with what you are holding. | sea7
09/10/2018 08:35 | I am not really sure what the point is, but am sure that none of it affects the economics of the stock dam. | kimboy2
09/10/2018 08:10 | trouble is DD, "they" are not the same people from six years ago, which is why it isn't bothering me. | sea7
09/10/2018 08:07 | ISTR a figure of 0.5mt at 3g/t being given but certainly can't remember a feasibility study. Don't think it needed one or at least not a full external one. I think the only reason they did the JORC was to be able to use it as security. | kimboy2 |
