You’ve linked one set of facts to another as cause and effect. That’s the issue.

Perhaps you could detail how H2 Green has been affected, because there has been no announcement from GTC. In fact there is a very large investment from gov for Inverness.

If you’re talking about the excitement behind the initial share price rise on the H2 announcement, that has nothing to do with government. That’s just investors getting excited before the reality.

Perhaps you have found out that Shoreham and Inverness had firm plans that GTC never announced, which have now been messed up by government policy.

I’m all ears.

The reality is that the government have lost interest in Hydrogen and they made that U turn months ago In the same way they are watering down net zero Labour have made it clear that they will reverse that policy change.Nothing to do with my politics. Just facts. It's easy to blame the company for a decision that a lot of people bought in to when H2G was formed.Sorry if that is an inconvenient to hear.

Nothing to do with government, unless you’re a rampant Labour supporter, in which case everything is the Tories fault.

H2 Green has no assets of value - just some vague agreements about development, which would require funds at some point to own something of value and that will still be the case whatever party is in power.

Thats the reality.

For gtc, hydrogen was and is a fairytale.

Not working because of the governments hopeless lack of direction. If Labour get in, it will be back.No cost implication going forward so it's effectively moth balled which is very sensible under the circumstances.

From the Proactive video:

"...did a pivot into the Green Hydrogen industry... that's not working"

So H2Green a dead duck. Hopefully no financial obligations at all.

The Geothermal pool is the smallest of the three pools, and it is also very shallow. Photos are deceptive.

I swam in that geothermal swimming pool this summer.

The well is 400mm deep!!; bringing the water up from that depth and maintaining the equipment is expensive and probably subsidised to attract tourists.
The rest of the town is not using this energy because there are better options than this one; it is probably the worst of all the available energy sources.

All this talk of hydrogen, 1 trillion markets, geothermal, etc, is just spin.

We need large orders with good margins and a director buying; otherwise, I see 5p early next year and sold in 2 years for very little cash.

But voting for the others - assuming you have substantial savings and are a higher rate tax payer would be a bit like a Turkey voting for Christmas.

I’d be surprised if they’re not elected but stranger things have happened in politics.

The legendary Ian Cassell sums it up.

A stock drops 25% it's an "opportunity"

Drops 10% more you call CEO to verify the thesis and buy more

Drops 10% more you get annoyed insiders aren't buying

Drops 10% more you sell your stock to the investors that are going to make money on the stock

I can’t imagine any news that would shift the share price as it wouldn’t be from the core business - that’s very unlikely to announce a massive contract.

So an H2Green announcement - but also can’t imagine what that could realistically be.

Market no good for floats, even if they could big up nothing much into a credible ipo.

What's happened to director buying? A few posters on here suggested that would happen after the results ?

I wonder what GTC's pricing is like, given that in theory they are opening doors to years of profit for companies like Angus. That's the only trouble with semi and fully automated bits of software - they're expected to be cheaper than hiring expert consultants for a month or so.

Added a few more today. I believe it’s the lowest price I’ve paid. FWIW the current valuation to me anyway looks a serious bargain if you’ve a decent timeframe to realise those gains.

Begs these questions amongst others.
Was this survey put out to public tender? If not why not?
If it was, was GTC aware of it? If not why not?
Did they tender for it? If not why not?

Not specific to GTC but gives an insight into the geothermal opportunity..

Over half of the top energy consuming NHS sites are located in areas with a very good chance of deep geothermal energy. As the actual energy from geothermal plant is intrinsically free, it is possible to install a very expensive geothermal well, maintain it and then enjoy cheaper, low carbon heat energy for decades, despite paying back the investment. This talk explains the concept and the basis under which the first British Geological survey of NHS sites was conducted.
