How many times have they said and we’ve said the company doesn’t need a fundraiser.

Interest rates are very relevant specifically because markets look ahead.

It would help if some folk actually read and understood posts.

If you look ahead and think GTC might need cash to put into H2Green for development, then its either coming from a placing or debt(ie. Borrowing). The latter would be very sensitive to interest rates.

Thats 50% of why many fledgling sme’s are in the doldrums. They need placing cash OR borrowing. Neither of which is a great option at the moment

Thanks, I take your word that the fund is closing for that generic reason.
However, the fact that it is selling into the market rather than to another institution speaks volumes because it is willing to absorb significant final losses to its investors! Poor fund manager. Poorer investors.
Sellers happy to make a profit are very welcome, but for that, we need buyers, and for that, we need a massive change in business performance.

If you have different views, please explain to me what we need for this to go up, and forget about the forced seller because that does not explain why there are no buyers at higher prices.

Book5, do you ever read anyone's posts? The fund is selling because it is being closed down by year end. As has been stated various times on here already in recent weeks ! That another institution is taking on the 2 million shares is clearly excellent news. Clearly.

You are potentially encouraging people to buy
The sellers are selling because they are not happy for whatever reason.
What if the current seller finishes selling, and the interrims could be better?
IMHO, we need better-than-expected interims that refer to "improved margins."
On the 25th we will know.

If my calculation is correct the large trades amount to 1.86 million shares. So must be an institution.

It's a distinct possibility. The overhang was 2,008,512.

I would love to see Gresham House join us here.

The project has been deemed successful by Asian Battery Minerals, as the results have the potential to significantly enhance its exploration strategy in Mongolia.

Richard Bennett, Executive Chairman & Genghis Khan of Getech, commented:

“While we are known to have extensive experience in mineral exploration for sedimentary basin ores, this project focused on ‘hard rock’ exploration. This challenge proved that our mineral systems analysis capabilities and data extend into deeper and older deposits such as magmatic nickel. Leveraging our proprietary data amassed over 30 years and our geological exploration expertise, complemented by AI-driven analytics, we can successfully locate potential new search spaces for a wide range of minerals.”

Gan-Ochir Zunduisuren, Managing Director at Asian Battery Minerals, commented:

“We are delighted with the results of our partnership with Getech. Their in-depth analysis and innovative approaches have provided us with valuable insights for our nickel exploration in Mongolia.”

The collaboration with Asian Battery Minerals showcases the versatility and adaptability of Getech’s mineral exploration approach.

Irrelevant to GTC balance sheet that is

Not sure you understand how the stock market works. Interest rates are irrelevant to the balance sheet. But the stock market is hugely sensitive to them as it's largely sentiment driven. The market is forward looking and desperate for a signal that interest rates have peaked and will start to fall.To that end, a rising market will pull GTC with it.

Yes very much looking forward to next week. The gloom is way overdone here. But markets have a tendency to overshoot in both directions. This is a steal at these levels.

Interest rates irrelevant to GTC unless they are going to take on debt to finance something significant at H2Green.

Its possible that they are in the same situation as many fledgling renewable businesses, in that the renewable bit is loss-making and funding it through debt or placings at the moment is a rock and hard place situation.

High cost of debt. Rubbish SME market.

An opportunistic PE bid would not be welcome, but it might make sense. Get a growing base business. Shed the top-heavy powerpoint presentation management. Ditch H2Green. Pocket the cashflow.

I was under the impression that they were the company who were in the process of buying Kitson house, I'm sure we will hear more on Monday

Went up to Kitson House y’day, looks like they have let part of building to company called Este medical, involved in hair transplant, skin conditions, etc. but end of GTC lies empty by the looks, and rather tired. They really need to off load the place or let the whole building out. Been on the market for years, but needs a very imaginative buyer. As for the share price, well I’ve written off this company, still hold a few shares, but successive bad managers have destroyed this company.
