Sadly very little trading in the afternoon

Never got near the 80p mark.

Both had poor closing auction prices & Genel under performed GKP by 4.3%

Well maybe tomorrow will be different!

Yes GKP is motoring ahead alright.

Genel are underperforming by 5% right now which is just plain crazy in itself.

Still think we will get to 80p today

damn bots won't come & play :(

If one of them had been half awake we would already be at 77p :(

Who knows maybe we'll get real action from them in the last 5 mins to set things up for tomorrow morning.

Could be an interesting afternoon if that premium on the 26.9K trade is anything to go by.

Just waiting to see if the bots are truly coming to play this afternoon or are just teasing us with minor action.

Hi Martym,

Have you tried buying any volume today ?

If you have you'll see the premium they want for 10,000 shares!

----------------

Worth noting the price of the Genel bonds has increased, company might be spending that extra cash buying them in from the market & thus reducing future interest costs.

Very surprised that DNO didn't give a further update on what's happening with regard to the overdue amounts.

They managed to get back $8M in October (which meant around $2.9M to Genel)

Never the less the bank balance is growing & its obvious they are the ones pushing GKP out of the market due to the better quality of the oil which is easier for the refineries to process.

Happy with that. 8.2 mill in October, nearer 10 in December on 4 mill costs.
Wait to you see, it will mean a good day for gkp..😆

From LseCould restart in 3 daysraq Considers Budget Change to Restart Oil Flow From KurdistanBy Charles Kennedy - Dec 15, 2023, 2:36 AM CSTIraq’s government is studying options for amending its budget in order to be able to pay foreign companies operating oil fields in Kurdistan in a bid to restart the flow of oil from the northern semi-autonomous region.“We are discussing the draft amendment of the relevant article along with the parliamentary financial committee,â€? Prime Minister Shia al-Sudani told Bloomberg, adding that companies operating in Kurdistan “are waiting for the amendment to be done on this article in order to be able to pay for the production cost.â€?Iraq is currently exporting oil only via its southern oil export terminals, with around 450,000 bpd of exports from the northern fields in Kurdistan shut in since March due to a dispute over who should authorize the Kurdish exports.Brazil Won’t Cap Its Oil Production Despite Joining OPEC+ GroupBrazil Won’t Cap Its Oil Production Despite Joining OPEC+ GroupThe impasse followed an International Chamber of Commerce ruling in a dispute between Turkey and Iraq regarding Kurdistan oil. The ICC ruled in favor of Iraq, which had argued that Turkey should not allow Kurdish oil exports via the Iraq-Turkey pipeline and the Turkish port of Ceyhan without approval from the federal government of Iraq.Since then, attempts have been made to resume exports by finding some common ground for organizing the approval process but none has produced an actual result. Technically, Kurdish oil flows to Turkey should be able to resume since Turkey reopened the pipeline earlier in October. Despite this, there has been no forward movement and the real struggle now remains between the Iraqi federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.Last month, hopes about a deal were renewed when Iraq’s oil minister Hayan Abdel-Ghani visited Erbil to discuss the matter with the Kurdistan Regional Government. "First step is to agree with the region and companies on adjusting their existing contracts to be consistent with Iraq's constitution. We could reach a deal in three days," Abdel-Ghani said at the time.By Charles Kennedy for Oilprice.com

BP just stopped using the Red Sea for shipments.

The importance of the pipeline just went up a few notches.
