Can NY pass the necessary legislation to allow sports betting before June 20?

'Gary Pretlow, New York State legislator, said that he expects to introduce a bill before the Assembly this week that would legalise sports gambling in the State. For passing the bill and making it a law, New York legislators are moving fast to approve a proposal before the legislative session ends on June 20.'

Molotov - They will be development teams I think working on hooking up the GAN platform to clients and activating it. In a previous communication with the company they indicated that they are selective as to which casinos they wish to work with as they work on a limited resource and thus only want partners who have a meaningful commitment to online activity in their casino and want to actively develop that side of it for their patrons. The reason being they don't want to tie up all their technical resources only to find they could have been better employed elsewhere. The opportunities were described as perishable - thus they did not want to make mistakes with the resource they have. Obviously their resources will be considerably extended via the new fundraise.

What's more interesting is that SBTech (GAN's strategic US partner) recently opened an office in Las Vegas.

I wonder if GAN and SBtech are considering something much more ambitious than a simple partnership? A merger perhaps and then a Nasdaq listing?......just speculating

That's timely and also shows how bullish they are. It doesn't cost fortunes to issue RNS's but some firms are sparing with them, Smurfit just cracked on and straightened it out.

A query regarding SBTech (and I am presuming GAN) and Paddy Power Betfair

New Jersey proposed legislation appears to exclude Golden Nugget from setting up a sportsbook due to the owner's (Tilman Ferttita) equity involvement with the Houston Rockets. I am assuming this oversight affects GAN, SBtech and PPB?

Surely something so obvious to a private investor would have been noted by GAN-SBtech-PPB and its professional advisers?

Update on Legalization of US Internet Sports Betting

Re-confirms H2 launch of Internet sports betting in the US



London & Dublin HTMLPIPESYMBOL June 6, 2018: GAN plc ("GAN" or the "Company"), an award-winning developer and supplier of enterprise-level B2B Internet gaming software, services and online gaming content in the United States, today provides an update following the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States ("SCOTUS") to overturn the previous Federal US prohibition on sports betting enshrined with the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act 1992 ("PASPA").



Recent press reports have speculated that certain New Jersey casinos may be prohibited from launching Internet sports betting due to their ownership of or other association with US sports teams ("Issue").



The Company re-confirms it is preparing to launch Internet sports betting in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania for its clients in H2 and further confirms the Company has investigated the reported Issue with its clients and does not currently expect any impact on GAN's plans to launch sports betting in H2.



Sports betting will be delivered as an integrated extension into GAN's enterprise software platform and GAN will participate in the material incremental sports betting revenues. These incremental revenues are expected to be material for GAN in H2.

If you read recent articles (a few weeks ago in fact) in which Tilma Ferttita was interviewed there is no inkling or concern expressed about his company's future in NJ. He sounds confident about the upcoming adoption of wagering on sports...
