Yes, one would think Ferttia will resolve this 'conflict of interest' by some form of legal separation of his interest in Golden Nugget (NJ) and his ownership of the Rockets. The clause allowing a 12 month deadline would suggest this is probably the way forward for him

I am sure with SBtech's and PPB's involvement with Golden Nugget that GAN is also involved with this commercial arrangement

We can hope for amendments but the way it's written 6 out of 7 casinos will qualify. Are they going to delay passage by including amendments to make it 7? To be fair these rules preventing ANY sports wagering for owners did not exist in Nevada so may have been unforeseen.

It could be reason - the last sentence in the above article does present the possibility that amendments to the final set of regulations/laws may be made -

Sbtech and PPB do have agreements with Golden Nugget NJ - I just cannot believe that all parties did not factor this into their negotiations? It seems an idiotic oversight that one would think they may have been given leeway of some form -

Looks like the Senate got its way:A provision in New Jersey sports betting bills in both the Senate and Assembly appears to restrict team owners from offering wagers on all sports - not just their own. This could snare operators like Golden Nugget, where owner Tilman Fertitta also owns the Houston Rockets of the NBA.Fertitta already addresses the situation at the Golden Nugget in Nevada by declining to take wagers on the Rockets. Applying the proposed New Jersey rules to the situation, Golden Nugget apparently would not be able to offer any sports wagering.We can but hope he accepts the 12 month divestment route but news that the assembly has acquiesced to the senates version may explain the share price wobble?
