27/11/2021 06:00 | I see the financial press put the market bloodletting down to Omicron and those stocks that rose as defensive stocks to a future (global) lockdown. Mr Market seemed to spot this market risk before WHO. While I like to see GAW rise, I would prefer if it was for different reasons. The WHO press release is certainly cause for concern. WHO has been warning, throughout 2021, that a mutation event was likely. It may continue indefinitely if rich countries do not supply vaccines to poor nations. | nod

26/11/2021 20:40 | Dividend date passed. Next is release of trading statement for H1 in early December."This will be paid on 5 January 2022 for shareholders on the register at 26 November 2021, with an ex-dividend date of 25 November 2021. " | nod
26/11/2021 17:06 | Interesting price action today, on fairly decent volume. GAW stood out in a sea of red on my screen. Maybe a combination of a reaction to the news from South Africa, relief that the sewage problem doesn't seem be too long-lasting and perhaps the sellers are exhausted. | robinnicolson
26/11/2021 04:08 | Thanks for the link, mighunter. It seems as though the business is operating albeit through a side entrance. The WH World hobby centre is closed. | nod

25/11/2021 09:05 | Water firm Severn Trent has apologised after a major sewage collapse forced the closure of the Games Workshop's headquarters in Lenton. The company, which produces Warhammer products at its Nottingham factory and offices site, confirmed its headquarters and Warhammer World building in Willow Road were shut after the collapse on Monday morning (November 22). In an update, Nottingham City Council said it was the issue would not be fixed until next Monday. Games Workshop has made no further announcement on how this will affect them and their opening times. The incident means the road has had to be completely closed off, resulting in the closure of the popular store. A spokesperson for Severn Trent said: “We want to say sorry to anyone affected by the sewer repairs that we’re doing on Willow Road. This is one of our big sewer pipes and it’s very deep in the ground, meaning that the repair is difficult and complex. “We’re using tankers along Lenton Lane to remove the wastewater from the damaged pipe and put it into the sewer system further on, so that it doesn’t escape into the local environment and cause a hazard for the local community. | nod
25/11/2021 08:58 | Two days ago an ad for a Bar Manager::Do you want to help increase the sales in Bugman's Bar? Are you excited by both having to deliver exceptional customer service personally, as well as supervise other staff to do the same and actively resolve day to day issues in support of the Bar Manager?Located at our world class Warhammer World Visitor Centre in Nottingham, Bugman's Bar is Games Workshop's very own dwarven drinking hall! It provides all our visitors with an opportunity to relax in a comfy environment whilst enjoying a drink and a bite to eat. | nod

25/11/2021 07:13 | so......the employees are working then. even if the road is closed. | janeann
25/11/2021 02:40 | If someone can tell me how to post a photograph of the affected area without exposing my personal identity then I'm happy to do that although it'll probably be in the dark due to my working hours (edit: just dropped off an employee there, photos taken, road completely closed) | nibbles1967
25/11/2021 00:18 | This is all speculation what you are doing. However, the post on the Nottingham online news says "Nottingham Textile Group, also situated in Willow Road, say they have not been affected". They are located in Willow Road, which we are discussing whether it is closed for one full week until next Monday. If they had been cut from the road and were isolated and only accessible by foot, would they have answered that? | princesa_consuela
24/11/2021 15:44 | So if this closure and sewer collapse were to have significant financial impact on GAW they would presumably have RNS'd it. as they havent one assumes everything is on track albeit with a bit of disruption? | janeann

23/11/2021 16:55 | Any idea which GAW building is close to the corner of Willow Road and Lenton Lane? Warhammer World is a fair distance away. When I was there a couple of months ago, I never asked what the building near that corner is used for. | shanklin
