The payment date will be Tuesday 20 April 2021 or very shortly before that. This is verified with the Company Secretarial department.

It is anticipated that the cancellation of the listing of G4S Shares on the Official List and trading of G4S Shares on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities will take effect no earlier than 5 May 2021.

6. Settlement
Settlement of consideration to which any accepting G4S Shareholder is entitled under the Offer shall be effected by the issue of cheques or CREST payments as follows: (i) in the case of acceptances which have been received and are valid and complete in all respects on or before the date of this announcement, within 14 days of the date of this announcement; or (ii) in the case of further acceptances, within 14 days of the date of receipt of an acceptance which is valid and complete in all respects.

I've made a tidy 20% on this over just 6 months but now it is just dead cash sittine there for which I have far better homes. Guess that applies to many of you.

88.12%, including me, had accepted by 1 April. They may well get to 90% but that doesn't matter to acceptees.

Any ideas about the PAYMENT DATE?

Acceptance condition satisfied
As at 1.00 p.m. (London time) on 16 March 2021, Allied Bidco had received valid acceptances in respect of a total of 1,227,301,154 G4S Shares, representing approximately 79.09 per cent. of the issued share capital of G4S.

The Offer has therefore become unconditional as to acceptances.

Some of the Stockbrokers the deadline was 1 p.m. today I believe. Direct with Allied Bidco 1.00 p.m. on 16 March 2021. Recommend to take the offer from G4S Directors.

Hmmm - some possibility of this deal not completing???

Final closing date for acceptances of the Offer is 1.00 p.m. on 16 March 2021.
If insufficient acceptances are received by Allied Bidco by such time then the Offer will lapse. Shareholders who have not yet accepted the Offer are urged to do so as soon as possible

Acceptance Condition has been waived down to 50 per cent. plus one share.

Update all. Acceptance to Allied universal offer extended to March 16 at 1 p.m. If shares held via Crest you should be notified shortly. Looks like the Company will go private so a major point to consider. The Auction was a total farce as nothing happened from Garda & stuck to their original offer of 235p. total waste of everyone's time!

Hi Mitch, I've read all the RNS stuff & the bidding procedure which I found extremely complex. Do you think there's a likely hood that one player will withdraw either before or during the bidding process?
I'm still trying to make an informed decision on what to do. Allied seems to be the preferred bidder but need Garda world to stay in the game & push the price up to the 280 region I feel. Any thoughts as you understand the position far better. Many thanks.

Same as any other auction except with only x2 players in the room.
There are strict rules laid down by the Takeover Panel as to how & when those x2 players can make an increased offer over those x5 days.
Suggest you read today's RNS from the Takeover Panel to get the full rules as too long to write here.
(p.s. you can still sell all/half in the interim if you wish)

Any bets on the outcome here? Shares now at 264.50? They are both going to up the ante pretty quickly. Both offers are out of court as far as I'm concerned. I'm thinking of selling half today & taking some profit & hold onto the other half & see how this plays out. Any thoughts anyone?
