In accordance with the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, on 8 December 2020, the boards of Allied Universal Topco LLC and G4S plc announced that they had reached agreement on the terms of a recommended offer by Allied Universal of 245 pence in cash per share for the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of G4S (the “Allied Offer Announcement”).

The Allied Offer Announcement can be accessed via www.g4s.com/investors/offer-and-possible-offer

Would be good if Garda come back with a higher offer. Wishful thinking, me thinks.

No knockout bid and reading today's RNS they don't seem inclined to make one. They see the share price as inflated because of Covid-19 vaccine euphoria.
They have very low acceptance so far.

Any thoughts?

Second bidder in the frame.

In response to recent press speculation, the Board of G4S plc ("G4S" or
"the Company") confirms it has received an expression of interest from
Allied Universal Security Services LLC ("Allied Universal"), regarding a
possible offer for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of
the Company.

So... the firm cash offer 190p is tabled.

SP as I type 198p.

I wonder if the font choice of the zero character is confusing the market
The zero looks like an eight at first glance.

Edit font "consolas" I think

Just sold, 75% profit in 3 or so months, imo rustling up 3rd party interest to spark an auction in the current environment wont be getting easier...so I say thanks with a salutatory doff.

According to to an FT headline, G4S is open to higher offers. Should put a longer short term floor on the price imo as they open an information room. Information shared with any bona fide bidder including white knights must be shared with all so predictably some folks roll up just for a nose around, good competitor info.. Should there be genuine competition to the first bid could see a nice rise from here, stable revenues generating businesses must surely be worth a handsome premium at the moment. All imo.

Well it must have been a well-considered approach, since they did the same last year, so it would look pretty strange if they suddenly disappeared again. Hence in the meantime it looks like longs have an inbuilt put for at least a week or two as they watch the proceedings. Price appears to be discounting a sweetened offer, a white knight or something better..like fat-fingered risk arbitrageurs!
