commuter: Both offers "end" next week Tue & Wed but either or both could be extended. Both bidders hold a tiny minority of GFS shares therefore they will have to bid enough to get the approval of a) the Board and b) Shareholders. If I were in your shoes (ie unsure of what to do) I would sell up and move on. But.....in the end it is your decision. Remember a profit (however small) is always better than a loss and a small loss is always better than a large loss.

Commuter10: There may be a higher bid next week....there may not! If everyone walks away (which I think is unlikely) GFS will tank. If you are happy with the 260p take the money, move on and forget all about GFS.

D Day it seems. G4S Shares Trading at 258.60 at 10.09 today. Garda Offer £2.35. Atlas at £2.45. I don't know anything much about either bidder & just thinking of selling the lot or maybe half. Anybody with any thoughts on this please?

Many thanks Mitch & appreciate it's my decision at the end of the day. But £2.60 looks a lot better than the Atlas Bidco offer of £2.45.

I'm not a ramper/de-ramper nor advisor Commuter so you have to make the call yourself but as for me today, I de-risked a bit :
In @ 99p ; sold healthy profit earlier @ £2.606; retained original investment.
My thoughts are that this may end up @ £2.60 or perhaps a tad more so by taking the profit now I anticipate to be a few hundred quid up or down on my decision today - mitigation.
Ooops - its just gone up to £2.618. ha

Hi Mitch you're right there! I received the Garda offer of a measly £2.35 dismissed it but been busy with other more pressing things. The shares are trading at nearly £2.60 today so would you recommend selling as £2.50/55 seems to be likely to be the best offer? Many thanks for your expertise in this matter.

Garda further extends deadline to 27/01/2021 reiterating final offer price statement is no longer in force.

Gardaworld extending offer again. i think they will struggle to fund a raise much past 250 and most analysts are saying they cant see a justification of anyone paying over 255

recent currency moves will not be helping garda either

Commuter, I think you are on a slow/broken down train. Ha
G4S are the target with Garda making the first offers with their latest being £2.35.
Allied later trumped that with an offer of £2.45 and is the latest on the table.
However the market believes/hopes that Garda come back with a higher offer - they have until 06/01/2021 to table that - (£2.50/ £2.55?? or walk away). And who is to say whether Allied would come back with another if a higher Garda bid is tabled?
So like everything in this game you make an informed judgement whether to get off your train & sell now or wait til it all plays out and get off at the terminus and becomes unconditional.

Anyone got any advice on what to do here? Shares currently trading at 2.55 offer price only £2.35. Are Garda Shares worth taking or best to sell now?

Garda extends offer period to 6th January 2021.
Re-stating the "final offer price" has been set aside and further statement to follow.
So it's not a done Allied deal yet.................
