11/3/2020 08:55 | While I'm not invested I have had these on my watch list and I have to say that I am at a bit of a loss to understand the pretty extreme negative reaction. As other posters have pointed out underlying profit and cash flow both looked solid. I guess that without the cash handling business going forward profitability will drop considerably if they cannot replace that business but that was always a known fact. I am keeping them on my watch list for the moment as any further weakness would tempt me. | ![]() salpara111

11/3/2020 08:34 | Any excuse and the market will knock the share price down but I think the results are pretty good. The loss is really just a paper loss caused by a write down of goodwill. | ![]() johnsoho
11/3/2020 07:38 | I am not sure what the market will make of these results. Headline underlying figures all positive but a statutory loss of GBP91 million reflecting a GBP291 million charge for goodwill impairment, mainly relating to UK Cash Solutions, GBP19 million restructuring and GBP38 million Cash separation costs. 26/2/2020 19:11 | "This transaction represents an important milestone in the execution of our corporate strategy. The sale of these conventional cash businesses simplifies the Group and enables G4S to focus on the growth of our core integrated security solutions business and the further development of our rapidly growing cash and payment technology business. The proceeds from the sale of these conventional cash businesses reduce financial leverage and provide the Group with the flexibility to continue to invest in our core businesses and we believe that the increased focus and financial strength will deliver material benefits for customers, shareholders and employees." | ![]() neilyb675
