18/12/2007 18:44 | Future as a business is evolving and eventually will attain most of its revenues from it online business. I the city are not sure whether this is possible. Future I have received on sound advice is doing really well and there are no scare stories in the pipeline. Consider this as a buying opportunity. Al | altube
18/12/2007 18:19 | Holy Hannah! 28p? How? Surely the board has to issue some kind of "we don't know of any factors influencing the recent sell off of shares" statement after a 50 per cent fall in value... Even a trading living up to expectations statement would be welcome. | huffnpuff
18/12/2007 16:40 | what a lovely finish to the day, how much lower can this actually go, we are nearly 1/2 of the 50p before the encouraging results came out. | outsourcer
18/12/2007 12:44 | the thing is I needed 55p to break even, with this purchase I need 37p now to break even, which at this point seems a more realistic target and then I can get out. the only downside is that they may drop further ! | outsourcer

18/12/2007 09:17 | foolishly I have just topped up with another £10K worth ! | outsourcer
17/12/2007 17:10 | Anyone know the reason? Someone selling out? | boffster
17/12/2007 16:47 | nice fall today !! | outsourcer
12/12/2007 17:21 | 1 million shares traded showing as sell but I it lokks as though it was a rollover or buy. That volume of shares would not have resulted in the price holdingup so well afterwards. Al | altube
10/12/2007 18:38 | Huff Not sure I agree. If they believe there is value in the business then I believe they will buy. If they think it was going to fail then I am sure they would be selling. Al | altube
10/12/2007 16:17 | Well, some more director buying, but at these levels its a token investment and not really going to give much confidence. Now, if some director came steaming in and obviously invested their life-savings in this share, then I'd take note. As it is, it just seems like a co-ordinated effort to shore up the share. | huffnpuff
07/12/2007 15:50 | Bought some more today. All the brokers forecasts will now be casting their slide rules over the EMAP sale and also this may cause Bauer competitors to look for other publishers to keep up with them. | altube
07/12/2007 15:21 | Boffster know the feeling of late lost a stack on Northern Rock. Another stock for you guys to look at is Circle Oil (COP). Long term looks a potential Cairn Energy. Only my views mind. As for Future I smelled a rat when they dropped the price yesterday so far on low volumes. Lets se what happens. Al | altube
07/12/2007 14:41 | Something must be wrong. I've bought into a share which is going up straight away. Must have my monitor upside down! | boffster
07/12/2007 13:17 | To my mind, Future looks even better value today in light of the sale of EMAP's consumer mags. Looks like they got £700m for the magazine side of the business, a good price. When you strip out the high profile mags (Heat, Zoo, FHM etc) there's not a lot there, whereas Future has a stable of niche mags all positioned in relatively recession-proof hobbyist areas. | huffnpuff
07/12/2007 12:21 | Well I may well be correct with my manipulation theory. As for Gamesradar that is very poor management, this is easy to deal with but if avoided can have serious consequences. The publisher of this should be sacked. Al | altube
07/12/2007 12:15 | Well - looks like it goes down on good news and up on bad. I wonder how damaging such publicity is? Or is it really true that 'any publicity is good publicity?'. I also wonder whether a court case is the best way to resolve this - have Future been 'politely asked' to fix this issue before, or is this the first they've heard of it ? Seems a bit militant. (I have kids and understand the issues, but watching the video of the announcement is a bit of scaremongery imo). The lady says they have 'continued to ignore' the requirements of the law... Think they want to make an example of games radar and the othher site as a test case ? | psteer2
07/12/2007 11:39 | As this only came to light yesterday, it can't have been behind the recent falls. Future's spokesperson suggests it was the first contact they've had with the TAG. | huffnpuff
07/12/2007 11:37 | Quote: In the lawsuit, the State of Texas is asking the federal court to enjoin Future/Gamesradar from its current practices and seeks unspecified "damages, restitution, or other compensation on behalf of residents of the state." 07/12/2007 11:31 | Does that explain the fall ? What are the consequences of being found 'guilty' ? | psteer2 |
