Can't see a turn for a while, possible dead cat bounce.

No serious trend change under this BoD imho. Hope to be wrong.

And put clones into the ceo and chairman roles?

It needs a BoD flush, unfortunately. Serious change, not superficial.

yeh. classic example of a CEO believing his own waffle.

I met him a few times. He had this chart showing the market-cap of all the publicly listed video games companies in the world. Frontier was towards the bottom. He used to say how Frontier has ambitions to become one of the largest in the world.

I remember in a meeting once he said "People used to laugh when I suggested we could move up this table, well they take it a bit more seriously now". That was when I knew this guy was being changed by the success (of Planet Zoo and JWE in this case).

Then when things started to go wrong... well, sod meeting angry investors day in day out and talking about your failings. So move to a non-investor facing role where can still lord over the games but take none of the heat.

Braben is in the top job. President. There's no-one above him.

All started going to pot when Braben stepped back from the top job.

"The Board is confident that the Company can return to attractive levels of financial performance over the medium-term, based on the strength of its existing portfolio and planned new releases, underpinned by the refocusing of its strategy."

I shall look at it again after the medium-term.

Optics not good and the CEO & Chairman statements were about them. Who read this before release?

They must put themselves in the shoes of shareholders.

It's YOU-WE-ME. It didn't read like that. More ME at the start doesn't read well.

Results weren't a disaster... clearly a strong performance from the existing franchises.

What's the future though? No reasons to get excited. So just sellers out there I bet.

Really needs a purge of the BoD. Might have a chance then.

Yep, the part about hitting the 800 & 900 employee milestones was tone deaf - you are losing money & games have missed expectations, yet you boast about how many people are working for you...

That Warhammer game price blunder comes from FDEV mistaking their game for a rich deep AAA-grade RTS. The recent beta test shows is in fact just a mediocre console-style squad battler. Selling it as a grande RTS is guaranteed to trigger hardcore RTS fans to review-bomb the PC version into the dirt, killing interest from casual players who might genuinely have liked it.

FDEV made the game's big reveal at Gamescom last week, spread by press and streamers. Pre-orders on Steam promptly fell through the floor. Reactions so far on the forums are mostly "Will never buy it" or "Might buy when it is reduced to $20".

It could sell slightly better on consoles - provided it is a lot less buggy than FDEV's usual.

Look at the warhammer game by FDEV on youtube that is about to come out.

The price is $60+ and basically a tower defence game.

This company genuinely cannot stop destroying shareholder value.

There's no floor on the share price until management is gone.

74tom, more transparency?? Shudder. The board's current transparency shows us company has "great portfolio", "world class team", "exciting pipeline of future releases" etc. etc. The problem being this is all transparently delusional.

Re your "must significantly reduce costs", yes definitely. But the board is doing the opposite. Just recently spent £11m buying a mere 20 new employees - pushing the finances to a loss. And is saying it expanding the staff even further.

This board has got to go. All of them.
