Im not a holder at the moment. Would love to see a -50% day though. Back to £2. For all their faults, a lot has been achieved since the shares were last at £2.

I predict a 50% drop when the next trading update announces the dire F1 Manager sales numbers and attendant loss ... though perhaps reduced if it also announces clueless Braben and his hanger-ons replaced by management that knows how to produce games people actually want.

It is indeed pretty disappointing. Not executing well at all. Part of me thinks they should have kept closer to their existing content. Small easy wins. Maybe a pet simulation game, theme hospital equivalent etc.

Gone slowly. Spent a few years making sure it was great.

"More of the same will change nothing". No, more of the same will kill the company. This was the their only credible shot at a hit this FY and the CEO let it out in such an appalling broken state. You'd think he'd learned from the Elite Dangerous Odyssey calamity, but no.

Braben needs to ask some deep awkward questions of himself and the management and act on the answers else stagnation is the order of the day.

This is indeed another massive flop.

No views on youtube videos for F1Manager2023.

Mixed review market on steam = dead game on arrival (only 69% upvoted).

IGN of 8/10 means not much. IGN has a scale from 6-10, 8 means it's good but what matters is the user reviews.

People do not buy a £45 game if the reviews say mixed. Stock is a good short opportunity.

Wouldn't touch this until all of management is replaced and F1 removes their license which it looks like it could happen now, and if that happens you can expect a 20%+ day drop.

"major new game" is unfortunate wording, seeing the F1 Manager release turned out to be just a minor update on last year's, with very little new except lots more bugs.

"benefit" is even less fortunate, given the release is likely a £Xmillion loss.

The RNS states

FY24 releases and outlook
FY24, the financial year from 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024, will benefit from two major new game releases: F1(R) Manager 2023 and Frontier's first real-time strategy game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, with both games on-track for release as planned.

So could well be this calendar year.

Given the poor state of this game seen in the recent beta, hope FDEV does not try to rush it out to make 2023. Delivering yet another game half-finished would be disastrous.

Frontier historically tend to aim for early/mid November on their second internal game slot in order to book the initial sales rush within their half year (30th November) data.

Planet Coaster - 17th November
Planet Coaster (Console Edition) 10th November
Planet Zoo - 5th November
Jurassic World Evolution (Nintendo Switch) - 3rd November
Jurassic World Evolution 2 - 9th November

There's enough past precedent here to assume they'll be aiming for a similar release window with Age of Sigmar.

Right now we have no release date for any forthcoming FDEV game. That's a first in all the time FDEV has been public. What does this mean? Again, anyone's guess.
