19/7/2018 07:35 | Hastings Now that you cannot ask about the likelihood of a 1m sales RNS, perhaps you could ask when details of the 4th franchise are likely to be forthcoming :-) Thank you, Martin | shanklin
19/7/2018 07:34 | Bloody hell bamboo... have you started selling your “system” yet ;-)? Brilliant! | sogoesit
19/7/2018 07:31 | Ball knocked out the park. Well done Frontier. Absolutely fantastic. | p1nkfish
19/7/2018 07:23 | Amazing! Congrats bamboo!! So thrilled you were right. This is now definately on for a 4million target year one. Awaiting fourth franchise news with baited breath now. Also, if steamspy is near accurate with circa 500k sold on pc, then the ratio so far is 50-50 pc to console sales. | endion
19/7/2018 07:16 | Nice one bamboo! Careful people may start calling you a guru ;-) | allstar4eva
19/7/2018 07:15 | Well done bamboo | haggishunter
19/7/2018 07:10 | Strangely classified as an RNSNON. Since it relates to sales I would of thought it should have been classified a full RNS. I guess it doesn't change recent trading update | square1

19/7/2018 07:08 | 19 July 2018 Frontier Developments plc Jurassic World Evolution passes 1 million units sold Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV; "Frontier"), a leading independent developer and publisher of video games, announces an update on sales of Jurassic World Evolution™ which launched in June 2018. Digital sales of Jurassic World Evolution, Frontier's third game franchise, have been strong across all three platforms, (PC, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One), following its digital launch on 12th June 2018. In addition, initial physical disc sales on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One have also been encouraging since launch on 3rd July 2018. As a result of this strong initial sales performance on both digital and physical, including digital pre-order sales, cumulative sales have now passed 1 million units, just 5 weeks after the digital launch on 12th June 2018. Both Elite Dangerous with the release of Beyond Chapter 2 and Planet Coaster with the release of The Vintage Pack continue to perform well, in line with expectations. Further expansions are planned for all three franchises in line with our strategy of ongoing support. David Braben, Chief Executive, said: "We are really pleased with Jurassic World Evolution and are delighted to have crossed the 1 million unit threshold so quickly. There is no doubt that initial sales have benefitted from the worldwide awareness created by the film release, but it's the quality of the game that's really important and I believe our team have done a terrific job in creating a game that a wide range of players are now enjoying around the world". | douglas fir

18/7/2018 22:33 | I think this is a decent board and although positive as you would expect the risks have been highlighted and understood by most here. Tomorrow would be a great time for news ahead of Friday... | allstar4eva
18/7/2018 20:12 | Luckily my own positivity is based on my own research. Whether it turns out to be accurate is another matter however I am quietly confident. | endion

18/7/2018 14:15 | Surprising to see the pullback recently whilst I've been away on hols. Just a profit-taking blip imo on the way to more new highs reasonably soon. Here's a great (and long) new interview with DB and other FDEV staff from yesterday. Just a couple of small excerpts FYI: "We’re beginning to become very, very significant in the entertainment sector, beginning to have all those great relationships. It’s amazing.” "He adds that working with Tencent has other benefits: “It’s a genuinely a strategic investment both ways. We knew China was an interesting and strategically important region for us. [Tencent] sees that the type of games we make are starting to really resonate with Chinese consumers. China is an amazing country that is going from strength to strength at the moment. And we were already selling in China when we first had discussions with Tencent.” And with the reach of the Jurassic World license and the huge boom in theme parks and rollercoasters in the region, the firm’s slate has definite appeal to Chinese consumers." | rivaldo
18/7/2018 13:01 | That would be lovely hastings! To be honest, i would be suprised if they havent already sold 1million across all platforms. So they could be waiting until then to announce, but then who knows! | endion
18/7/2018 11:52 | hastings Perhaps you could ask whether the winner of endion's competition will be announced by RNS :-) Or at least when 1m sales has been achieved. | shanklin
18/7/2018 11:19 | Off to see Mr B cut the ribbon on the new HQ Friday pm, should be quite a gathering. Perhaps we will get some news to tie in with that, or then again maybe not! | hastings
