Are holders here, chiefly in FRES for silver exposure, having made a choice against Exchange Traded Funds?

The market does what the market does, they take it up & they take it down. However we have a trend reversal and the Daily chart is bullish. Target 1052

Ham I am in ageeance with you once I’m fully loaded this time I will leave the core holding in place as I feel I have been very lucky to have made well in the last week on this so don’t want to tempt fate and get left behind.
Good luck Ken.

Having had 2x single day gains of around 10% per day in the past few weeks, to me this is a good sign. And just after each steep increase there is naturally a bit of retracement (but a lesser amount and at a slower pace).
To me, this is an indication of an increasing share price, it's the opposite of what happens when the share price is in decline.
Am happy to hold and watch the world events go by. .

Judging by closing prices of silver companies in US
It looks as tho FRES may move lower
Certainly within the first hour or so.

With Risk-On back in the US, it's no wonder GDX was down. Today's earnings, however, have been pretty bad - AMZ -8% after hours, Alphabet -4%. I expect safety will be back in play tomorrow.

FRESNILLO down 7.73% in the US tonight. GDX down over 4.5%. Expect big falls in miners when London opens tomorrow.

And added back some of the ones sold at 980+ a couple of days ago.

I'd like to claim that there's a method to it, but frankly it's just guesswork - buy low(er than previous sells) and sell high(er than previous buys). Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. For a share this volatile it should work well (as long it does indeed go up on occasion as well as down), and is safe enough at these prices - less so at the mooted £20.

Assuming silver has bottomed, then I can't see any technical reason for this not to revisit the Dec 2016 Low.

I think the broker notes have pushed fres down today. JPM lower price to 1200p (Reiterates - Neutral) and UBS have a 900p target (Unchanged - Neutral).

Like I say, brokers are backward looking so am happy with my long term holding until the sheet hits the fan in the world for some yet to be identified reason.

Glad to hear that hussy as I believe the pos has bottomed and, like you, I'd say Fres is not a sell which is why, of course, I'm scaling back in.

erik,

No position in this stock as yet, though am evaluating in terms of silver exposure being an equities hedge - made tricky perhaps, by a sense the credit cycle has turned and rates are on the up (however modestly). Would only be interested to hold medium-term than try and out-wit markets in the short term.

ken,

Thanks for your frank reply, earlier!
