May I just ask a simple question had the analysis of fair value been done in January 2016 would it have predicted that the share price was going to increase by more than 3 times inside 6 months.

I do believe that fair value can only be an estimation on the future as there are so many other factors to be taken into consideration and to predict over a 5 year period is basically hazarding a guess, exactly the same as all of us that are invested in not just this share but any other share.
All in my opinion of course.

Anyone with a constructive answer please reply as I am always willing to learn.

I am a happy holder but I do not think I will keep hold of either FRES or BT when the next recession actually comes.
Nothing is safe then I think. Just look at the lows of both during 2008/9 period.

I totally agree with your prediction, these opportunities to get into a company like this come once every 3 to 5 years.

The fact Being that FRES is really tied to the price of AG and AU and if the prices of precious metals fall even further there will be a lot of mines that the AISC is above the price they are selling the raw material, therefore the mines are mothballed production falls and price of PM increase benefiting companies that are large enough to weather the storm.

On top of that FRES mines so much silver that is used for industrial purposes rather than gold being mainly jewellery based.

Morning all.
Nice rise today. I really think there is the possibility of a double from any entry below the nine pound mark. I'm hanging on to my paper holding, and will continue to trade a few on spread bets.
Charts are the basis of my investment decisions, but once or twice you get one of those so called "special situations", and I think we have one here. Most of the daily trades are algo driven, then you get a couple which are clearly decision driven. They are the ones that make all the difference when there are not that many shares in free float.
This is the largest silver producer in the world, and close to the top of the gold producers. It pays a dividend, and no matter what the likes of Odeys and Marshalls might do, this will turn. When it does it will be sudden and dramatic, and I'm hanging on tightly for the ride.

Im not so keen on your first prediction however if this does go to 570 I will be very happy to double my current holding and wait for your second prediction making me a very very very happy Bunny.

This will then allow me to buy my son and his wife a new house from the resulting gain.

PS are gaps always filled even after nearly 3 years and the gap up was only 1.2% at the time.

It looks more and more likely it will test the 2015 low around £570. There's also a gap from 2016 that never got filled. So that's why my 2018 Xmas Eve prediction is £600. My 2019 Xmas Eve prediction is £1900.

I hope you both prosper hammy/hussy. For me, I am led by my technical analysis over the fundamental reasoning, hence I'm out. I do expect to win the competition though on the basis that I could be wrong !

That's an average of 10.40, or about 17% lower than the average broker forecasts... What a pessimistic bunch we are!...:)

Afternoon all.
I've got enough of these now. Made some decent money this week trading EZJ and PRU. Closed those positions earlier on, and invested the profits here. Kept the capital back, as I think we might see the market retrace towards the end of the week. Not sure what'll happen here short term.
Analised some trades yesterday. There were a lot of algos working around small numbers. Odey has increased his short. Marshalls still hold theirs. Volume was pretty low. It won't take much to move this if someone starts buying in quantity. Thought we might be off earlier on today, but it was soon knocked back.
Bought a few positions on spread bets. I'll trade that account, and let the paper take care of itself.
All in all, this still looks the best bet out of the entire 100.

hussy, If Support @ 865p holds then it's heading to 1050p by Christmas. No fundamental reason needed.

I'll tell you what would make 1050 happen really quickly: for Wall St to really capitulate and the Fed to come in with a 'Greenspan Put.' I don't believe the selling is done in the US, but what do I know.
