A few large cross trades reported earlier. Hopefully the end of the retrace here.

Well Foxtons aren't the force they used to be.Weak hold

Failed to capitalise on the momentum since easing down and sales at the gate have generally been disappointing

Just 381 sales in the last 60 days acc.to their site That's just over 5 sales per branch

Reassuring at least as we head into a challenging times they have some money in the Tommy but that's about it

The Times: Buyout firm KKR has signalled its expectation of a recovery in demand for central London office space by buying a stake in Great Portland Estates.

Soros buying into London based Foxtons, the time could have come for a
return to higher levels, we shall see.

40 million in cash. A going concern. I'll take the risk. Too many trading the virus. Buy one day sell the next.. Say something isn't worth yet won't short.

You'll do well, there's still a seller here at 40

Well perhaps, but I'm only looking for a quick 20% here. That's 48p from my buy point.

Easily doable imo from these lows.

It's not a strategic long term buy by any means..

Well "that's a statement of the obvious"

Well its a factual one that sales at the gate are not living up to the hype
and yes a rising tide lifts all boats but its a little more than just students
just hating them

Its been along time since they were cutting edge.Jon Hunt and Peter Rollings have been gone a long time

What is disappointing is their failure to tap into the BTR and New Homes Market They should be the developers go to agent

The share price trajectory here unlikely to match other listed groups .CWD are the stand out buy for me Switched most of my FOXT shares to them

Yes, hillofwad, but that's a statement of the obvious. What about the future of the London market and the market leaders. My problem with foxtons was nothing to do with the virus but I always thought they were over-priced. Students hate them. But over-sold here I think. An easy 10% imo...

"Bricks and Mortar"

Sure its all about getting in at a decent entry price for the future but are Foxtons the force of old?

The assumption here is that Foxtons will continue to take their fair share of instructions .On the sales side that hasn't been the case. They have only enjoyed a small window since lockdown to make up for lost time

They have only sold about 370 in the last 60 days. That is less than 5 per branch and that was picking up the slack for the previous months as well and now heading into another challenging period

Went into my local Foxtons yesterday. They said the market was accelerating.

For what it's worth.

Bought in here today. Seems cheap and the london market recovering quickly.

News on covid can change quickly and another full lockdown isn't going to happen. Country can't affort it imo..

surprised the reaction to this news hasn't been better: any buyers previously had a ready supply of stock at 40p or so from Caledonia: now they will need to go elsewhere. Where?
