08/5/2006 17:17 | Subscribers to Outstanding Companies Digest were updated in the latest edition which landed on the doormat at the weekend. I quote: "The prospective PER is undemanding and the dividend yield attractive. But the investment case turns on cash flow. The free cash yield of 13% is compelling. Taking last year's ongoing cash flow and running it out in perpetuity suggests you are being offered the existing business for 57p in the £ with growth from the forward plan in for free. Pitches don't come much fatter than this." | ![]() superstardj

03/5/2005 11:54 | Mr Bearbull in his Investors Chronicle column of Friday 29th April is looking at these to accomodate in his Growth Portfolio: 'Meanwhile, as the 2004 annual reports stream in - raw material for the Bearbull valuation factory - I have to draw attention to the merits of Flying Brands, the speciality mail-order retailer. Few companies have, or will, come through the factory displaying such value. It's mostly to do with the huge amounts of free cash that the group generates - over 19p a share, on average, for the past five years. Couple that with sufficient capital spending, at high rates of return, which indicates that Flying Brands should be able to create significant value from future projects, and it's feasible to value the company at almost 300p a share, compared with its 180p share price. Thats worth having, in anyone's language, especially as a dividend-discount valuation backs up these figures. Maybe I'll have to rejig my Growth Portfolio to accomodate Flying Brands, too.' So there you have it. If proved correct there is a potential upside of about 67%. | waldiman
