Worst of times! but regional operators are growing faster than their miserable profits at the moment! All other means of getting around is clogged up and exceedingly expensive, so it's the only way to go!

Would anyone put an offer on the table given Flybe are still a loss making business and doesn't look like things will change in the short to mid term.

Another grim day despite what might appear good news re Cornwall!! The November results will need to have some positive factors!! A 50p offer doesn't look too bad at the moment IMHO, if only someone would make it!!

“Today’s announcement is good news for Cornwall. If this service was lost, £50 million could be wiped from Cornwall’s economy with the potential loss of airport and other jobs. We will have continuity of service with Flybe being confirmed as the operator. Once again securing the direct service is a boost for Cornwall’s communities, businesses and the economy. It will enable Cornwall to do business with the rest of the world – and the rest of the world to do business with Cornwall.”

Both EZY and RYA down c30% from 2018 highs now. RYA I understand, but think it's overdone. EZY I don't understand other than being caught in RYA crossfire.FLYB caught too, and it's illiquid and smaller. No current news flow to counteract, share price will wallow around until November update or bid speculation starts again.

I’m thinking the effect of RYA’s correction is simply an observation of the sector...rising fuel prices will hit all airlines. Having said that, not all companies will have the same forward hedging structures in place.

RYA correction is long overdue. The employee relations issue has been getting worse and worse with no end in sight. O’Leary lost the war when he caved in last Christmas and now it is impacting on his entire business strategy.

Flybe don’t have such issues, although they do have many others. I don’t really have any faith in this business growing or becoming more profitable as a stand alone structure hence why I think it’s just a mattter of time before they merge or get taken over. COW probably trying to negotiate her own future as part of the future path...who would blame her?

Ryanair set to steal a bite of their lunch come spring! Yes Cityjet or maybe a second round from Stobart Air after Brexit.
Perverse world of valuations...Flybe market cap £82 million fleet 78 , Revenue £752.6 million, but can’t show a profit. A single Boeing 747-8 plane, worth around $400-500 million gifted to Erdogan by Qatar.

Ryanair down 8% on reduced FY19 guidance is probably the reason this is weak today. Although I'm never convinced by the idea that they are direct competitors - the overlap in their routes is not high.

For me this is a speculative stock - I don't see how they can create significant value as a stand-alone airline.

I STILL believe that a merger with Cityjet will happen (see longish post from a way back) at some point, but it only gets interesting when the share price closes above 45 and if I see a close and support at 50p I will buy.

Until then I see it fluctuating between 30-40p (I might buy some trading shares at 30)

Illiquid stock! ridiculous spread! Keep a tiny holding if you also hold STOB.

Thanks for your thoughts so in your view it's a justified reduction in value.
