Spanish football back this Thursday along with PGA golf will crank up the action. 6 days of an extended Royal Ascot starts next Tuesday, with handily, all Bookies reopen the day beforeWith Premier League footy back the day after volumes will kick up rapidly. 90 games, all being shown individually and live every day/night of the week will have stay at home punters reducing new levels of turnover

There was a racetrack opportunity underway in Illinois to try and beat the 18m delay, but committee moves last week and this Thursday may leave this not be be needed, which would be nice. The Golden State are also moving at a greater pace it seems, talks tomorrow, and the funds raised will help the push into new markets when they arise, which appears more unpredictable than ever

Morgan Stanley issued a press release stating that App downloads tripled in May with DraftKings and FanDuel leading the way. This was true, BUT the other way round with FanDuel alone beating DraftKings never mind inc SkyBet, PP, and BettyThe funds they have raised are to keep and extend the market lead. Being the lead player in one state opens doors for the next.

So, circa 900 up since my last down day post with plenty of activity in the market in the next fortnight to spin things up. LA Capital group selling some but Citigroup and Blackrock buying more. Both two buying in the last couple of days is reassuring that they, like me, see significant upside even after a strong run

I would dare say that with PokerStars on fire it’s probably not a big burn if at all...

You don't think the placing is anything to do with fueling their huge rate of cash burn in the US?

The market seems to thoroughly agree with your assessment.

Hi

Brand new thread created to help raise awareness on a number of emerging UK based stocks looking to capitalise on the US online market

Would be good to see you there

Many thanks

I think it all depends on how the market sees the placing. If they were using it for cash burn there would be concern and subsequent drop in share price. However , I feel here the cash is being used for future purchases and given the results and the subsequent return to normal I can only see the share going one way

I try to imagine who would be selling shares here. It seems so low risk that I’m not sure who would be selling and what else they would buy

It's interesting , TSG did a similar placing post sky bet acquisition. Tapped investors for $38 a share placement. The share price only went one way (down) following that placement until Flutter stepped in with the merger.

I think there must be some consideration that Flutter realise that their share price is at an all time high and want to make some quick money for a rainy day fund.you would hope the placing price (c. £101) puts a floor on this stock, but I think it might bounce around the £90-£110 range for short to medium. Hope I'm proved wrong, but in for the long term anyway!

People putting in 1B Euros at this price, means its worth a ton more. They don't put money in to earn 10%. And it already closed higher than they paid on the first day, despite it being a broad down day. I commend Flutter for how they released a trading update. Do they buy 888? Do they pay down debt?

I think they recognize that Draftkings is an ever increasing threat to Fan Duel as well. The fact that FOX has already committed to buying some of that paper is huge. You are right, usually when more shares are issued, stocks go down. I have a feeling this will be well received as prudent in so many ways...hoping for a close near 110 on Friday.

Good spot, thought timing my swim until after London shuts was safe...Remarkable statistics given the issues. Proves the value of a wide portfolio. The placing news not usually welcome but reading The Irish Times piece it looks like a war chest for increased opportunities than are/have sprung up in recent times as well as maintaining World lead rather than a concern. @thewhitehouse ; don't discount the internal team which came operating Poker/Casino before they bought SKYBET and BETEASY was rebranded. I have more confidence in the Flutter team for the next step and so did Rafi and the Stars board, which is why you see it remaining as the predominant C-suite left over after merger. I believe this company will shine through COVID19 and into the Fall with a rocketship trajectory. BTW, It was 55GBP a year ago, not 50GBP, so still have doubled in this kind of context. With Stars on board, it has gained 10% since merger. Draftkings setting new valuation methods will help us to do same. Sports fans are hungry for the sports they used to love to watch, not Bulgarian Napkin Folding Contests. The best is yet to come and why I held every share converted into Flutter to see it grow in the next year to 200GBP. That's my personal view.

The process of conversion is now posted by Flutter on this web page: hxxps://www.flutter.com/sites/paddy-power-betfair/files/2020-05/faq-exchange-of-stars-shares-for-flutter-shares.pdf

It is up to your broker to get your signed Letter of Transmittal to the Flutter registrar who then issues the shares in your name.

My bank won't give me a date, so you are ahead in terms of clarity of information. It seems that due to COVID, shortages of teams available, and the physical nature of the cross-border process, it could be a few more weeks yet. Frankly speaking, I feel that TSG and FLUTTER dropped the ball in terms of informing their shareholders, particularly when we see that previous TSG directors seem already to have had their shares exchanged.

My bank is telling me I will not get the Flutter shares before June 5th! a month after delisting!
Is this normal? can anyone confirm receiving the Flutter shares in exchange for the old TSGI shares?
thanks
