Not exactly welcome news is the continuing IMF/Ukraine Central Bank issues that started with Gontareva (then head of the NBU) closing down dodgy oligarch banks, including PrivatBank and it's 5.5 million dollar black hole, and of course Zhevago's Finance & Credit Bank also. Threats to both Yakiv Smolii, current NBU exiting bank chief and Valerie Gontareva, previous NBU bank chief, not exactly subtle. Https://112.international/ukraine-top-news/ukraines-bank-chief-quit-and-received-a-coffin-as-a-warning-its-a-scandal-that-threatens-the-countrys-economic-health-53042.html It almost seems inevitable that Zelensky will fail in any reforms and the old guard will re-emerge and try and put him in prison for some crimes; either real or trumped up. You can bet that Putin has a hand in the whole messy business. I just hope that the ordinary Ukrainian citizen has the stomach to rise up, as they did at The Maidan in 2014, should that be necessary to get a free democratic society. BB

sounds like famous last words as that is a risky strategy in markets( smile ) . but good luck anyway . After US markets falling sharply , no surprise that FXPO struggling so far but only a touch down.

--->ZHO Re: Your post 7367. Many thanks for that. I also read through the link you gave for reclaiming the rest of the dividend. Your own wording that 'it was too much of a faff' to try and reclaim is ridiculously understated. I can't believe the hoops anyone would have to go through to get the full dividend, unless one is due many thousands of pounds. As someone else seems to have posted, it is probably better to buy these through a spreadbet. The remainder of the divi would most likely cover all the financing costs for the year. Regards, THE COUNT!

Asusasus - constantly concerned rather than worried. The business is solid, profit making, reducing debt, pays good dividends, low PE ratio. It's all the other aspects that have exerted their influence on keeping the share price down. The last year has especially been riddled with 'issues.' You know what they are - Blooming Land charity debacle, Deloitte quitting as a result, ongoing investigations into the ex CEO, Zhevago, the general political situation in Ukraine, the annexation of Crimea, the overall Russian influence in the Donbas region, global CV crisis, etc. It's a guessing game where we will be in a month from now, a year from now. My guess is we will be much higher, (£2.50 to £3.50) but if the global economy is hit by a general second wave of CV then who knows? BB
