27/8/2020 19:58 | So why aren't you selling bell bottom if Putin's tanks are about to invade for water? Don't you have anything positive to say all of a sudden? Looks as though you've sold and predictably are now talking it down. Yes other posters are tedious but so is the boring old trote of deramping after selling up. But this one about Putin and water supplies is stretching even that! | simonsmithiv
27/8/2020 18:12 | 4% drop today, >10% since recent highs, and back to pre-interims and divi declaration. All seems a bit harsh considering the low volumes and many thought it should be way beyond £2 by now. Obviously a post divi seller wanting out that's dragging it down to where the mm's can offload their order to bargain hunters. Best to take advantage of the dip and buy while all around lose their heads. Aimho. | happy bear

27/8/2020 17:29 | Simon, it's not just all about charts. Have a look at previous threads or not. Your money be be invested in a London listed oompany but the entirety of Ferrexpo's mines are in based in one region of Ukraine. We lost a shipyard when Russia annexed Crimea. The Yuzhny shipyard in Odessa Oblast is therefore critical to Ferrexpo shipping. Ukraine historically have supplied 85% of all fresh water to Crimean peninsula, which has been cut off since 2014, when Russia annexed Crimea. Something has to give as the situation cannot carry on without Ukraine or Russia backing down. As stated, the building of the bridge and the opening of the highway signify that Russia will not be backing down. If anything, Putin will be expanding his empire. He has made no secret that his goal is to create a modern Soviet Union. We know of the ongoing war in Donbas region yet the Odessa Oblast region is the most critical area as it is on the Black Sea and adjacent to Crimea. And let's be clear. I am heavily invested here at the moment so no accusations of de-ramping. BB | bellbottom

27/8/2020 15:00 | For those interested, Putin officially opens the new Tavrida highway that links Kerch and Sevastopol in Crimea at a total cost of 2.3 billion dollars. This is on top of the 3.7 billion dollars Putin spent on the Kerch bridge linking Crimea to mainland Russia. And at the same time, the water situation doesn't get any better for Crimea. Doesn't sound like Putin will be giving up Crimea anytime soon, no matter what Zelensky states about getting the region back in Ukrainian hands. This is heading for a showdown. BB | bellbottom
27/8/2020 14:44 | After my previous post from Concorde Capital, about Ferrexpo drop in production for July, I refer to an article in the Ukrainian Journal from July 17th, which I've copied part of below. It sounds like they have possibly had some teething problems with their 'technological complex for production,' which should have seen an increase in production. I guess we will have to wait until the next production update in October to find out what has happened. COPY FROM UKRAINIANJOURNAL.COM "Ferrexpo’s Poltava plant launches new $100-mln complex to boost output KYIV, July 17 – Poltava Mining and Processing Plant, the main asset of Ferrexpo Group, has launched a new technological complex for production of finished goods – Section No. 9 of the concentrating plant, the total cost of the project exceeded $100 million. According to Ferrexpo's expectations, the project will make it possible to produce an additional 2 million tons of finished products, which will increase the company's sales volumes by about UAH 2 billion per year, starting from July 1 this year. The implementation of this project will increase the plant's installed capacity to more than 15 million tons of concentrate per year." BB | bellbottom
