I too have my stock with iii.

Along the same lines as previous posts, I note that I received my dividend today but with 35% deducted by the blasted Swiss authorities.

I know another divi is due to be paid tomorrow as well.

This is really confusing. If anyone knows exactly what is going on, can you please answer these Q's.

Q1) I received 1.72p per share today.... is this correct? What should the gross divi have been?

Q2) A further divi is due tomorrow? Will this be taxed at 35% too? I presume it must be.

Q3) Can we claim the dividend tax back from the Swiss? If so, how?

Q4) Why the hell do we have 2 dividends paid out in the space of a day?

If I had understood all this in the first place, I guess I would never have invested.

Any help much appreciated. Been out of the loop for a while so more than a little rusty.

Regards,

Same here, only worse - 3.3 cents per share but on only half my shareholding.

The dividend notifcation says that the ex date was the 4th June and I bought half my shares after that date but well before the 19th June, the ex date cited in the FXPO RNS of the 15th.

I've emailed them to ask for an explanation.

Just had dividend paid into my iii account! However something is wrongIt is only 1.72p per share when 6.6c were promised which is 5.1p minus swiss tax, so should be double that at 3.4pAlso it's a day early. Anyone else in same boat?

only down a touch today and the fall a bit surprising after the upward move to 175 early in day . I can not see any bad news announcement but maybe there was !

but normally best to cut losses and let profits run but that is contrary to human
nature . I always failed to do that and it is why I became a trader rarely keeping a stock over night but I use CFDs as SD in UK would make it impossible day trading physical shares . No SD in OZ and can do it there !

Got no choice but to hold on now after 20% of value evaporated in a fortnight without any specific reason

quite near that 162 chart support level and hopefully it will turn soon . Seems to ignore strong US markets today and that could change before the close at 9pm.

Good news over they coming year. But many other factors holding back the share price
I've given up predicting where this is going short to mid term. Let's face it, it's a big guessing game for both amateurs and so called professionals in the stock market.

Yes. Couple of decent buys for a change. Bought a few DRX yesterday so hoping the bid rumours are true!

A nice steady rise up to 7th July now, hopefully, when it could take off again.

zho,
looking closely at FXPO chart , it does suggest a fall to about 162 support level in short term but a rally in US futures could change things and it is trying to rally at the moment but quite a struggle . DOW needs to break through 25200 level and now at just under 25100

thanks ZHO and I was just using the futures iron price on IG markets site which shows a md price of $A702 at present . I am sure yours is a better guide and more sophisticated. .

I use to check on prices. 96% of FXPO's production in 2019 was 65% Fe fines (the right hand column) and prices have been strong over the last three months, up from $98.15 to $115.95, only slightly below the early-June peak of $119.50.

Australia considers iron prices will stay elevated (going from memory they are normally quite cautious) :-

I'm looking forward to seeing the half year results as confident they will be very good. Iron ore has been strong in H1 and costs in our favour. Sales have also been higher along with production.

I also believe cash should be very strong. Not only as a result of the above but we are dipping into inventory to fulfill sales. Holding long and strong here and ignoring short term movements. Looking forward to seeing £3 again along with very attractive dividends on the way
