Miners back in favour now that all that Trump drama is factored in. So yeah miners over done and a good play for a recovery.

exploded at start and now lulled right back and 189 level might be a good buy for traders . That fast start surprised me as not as a result of any news I think .

I take the point about debt but there were some factors which will not impact H2, most notably the payment of divvies in H1. Reversion to the normal would have taken another $30-40m off net debt. H2 should benefit from lower dividend payments, and I would also expect cash flow to be higher than H1 due to clearance of the 300k tons backlog and the higher pellet premium seen so far in H2. This should all have been factored into the price for some time, hence my surprise at recent movement down. Still, a good top up point.

I had hoped to see a bigger reduction in the debt in the annual results; the company has made a ton of money recently, yet the debt pile only crept down marginally from the last reported end of period.

Odd that FXPO is still falling. The last few days have seen a 3% increase in ore price and (even better) the news that FXPO shipped 1 million tons in July (suggesting they moved half of the 300k backlog caused by earlier rail and shipping issues). I assume the negative thoughts are caused by Donnie Dump's messing around on tariffs - but given the supply/demand position for premium pellets that seems just noise. Anyone know of any other factors (apart from those which have been around for ever, like geopolitical risk)?

big buyer at 151 level if not a bluffer . i guess it might disappera if sale goes throughb at 151.1 under this algorythmic trading - such scope for manipulation !!

Indeed. Let’s see what the next few weeks bring. Tends to move quickly either way - no doubt about the current trajectory. Bon weekend.
