awful today foxy22. i foolishly kept a small holding in S32 and suffering
and wondering whether to exit even though it is 8 cednts less than aussie close .
As you say , combination of brexit , trump effect and stronger sterling .

FXPO like a yoyo today and makes it tricky to trade ! Does seem to be consolidating before thenext move to a higher level assuming the DOW does not tank of course and pull markets down with it .

the witch , TM, is against a peolles vote and Cirbyn is a closet brexiteer as TM was . Now she is a fanatical brexiteer ! ( smile ) . likely to be a people vote as parliament might not agree to no deal or TM deal . But my concern is that to remain might not be an option given with Tory and DUP majority. shou;d be a united Ireland anyway but little englander DUP will not agree with that! ( smile )

yes, S32 punters here sold on friday anticipating the fall in OZ which is actually lead market . But it fell more than they expected and did not have a bounce last night . Wish I had focused om KAZ today as good moneyb to be made there as copper price
picked up . Good luck with FXPO and it is trying to bounce .
Bought some S32c at 213.40 and hoping for a modest profit with a day trade !would like to get 216 .6 or 216.8 as aussie dollar strengthens against sterling .

Arja brexit dont think it can be avoided more likely in my view last minute deal but who knows...S32 ...all oz mining shares plummetedLast night...i have fmg and bhp...fmg off 4% last night ...fxpo light relief!!!

I just lookeed at aston price as too busy getting out of S32 as I had kept overnigt
which was not smart and took quite a hit this time . I am surprised it is down a dollar from yesterday and maybe brexit will have more effect on this stock than most you will know more than me about that . Hoping brexit will be avoided .

Yes Arja...difficult to cut but if I can hope for partial recovery... today and then sell.Aston could fall further.Cid's yes but didnt have good experience a couple of years ago....

It is far from easy to cut a loss as emotion takes over , I sometimes failed to do it years ago and , as soonn as I did , it often reversed . But IPO's are different of course . you would need to use CfDs to trade I think or is FXPO a stock where SD not paid , that 1% charge is hard to cover in a day trade . Margins greatly increade as a result of EU ruling foxy22 and I wish they had kept out of it . I am a big remainer but disagree with the EU on that and luckily have an aussie based account and
unaffected

would have been nice to have an order in the market at about 214.5 when FXPO took a sudden dive as a result of a big player exiting I assume . hard yaka today to make
money trading and I made PEANUTS . Mining stocks raelly hammered and now the dow is plunging as a result of rising bond yields !

210 is chart support but maybe now about to recover from 212 level . real friday blues for mining stocks !

it is not really except in sense that market mood overall might suffer a little . However , the dow was well off at Uk close and FXPO did pullback , Chartwise , it still looks good .

Danboris I am very interested why you think the DOW is so critically linked to FXPO price.

Grechen you prompted me to check FXPO financial calendar and 3Q 2018 production report 2018 is 9th Oct 2018.

As I mentioned before,3rdQ production update imminent (probably tomorrow).Benefits of production line maintenance should be seen in this qtrs.figures and with the premium being paid for high quality pellets expect results to be impressive.Let's hope they are as good as market expectations.

I buy and sell it most days Ken as aussie closing price is a guide as to how it might trade in UK. So much news about it on hotcopper but none on ADVFN and it was reason it took off yesterday in UK and I sold way to early after holding overnight on tuesday !

KAZ struggled today even though copper price picked up a bit . hard to pick next move in that one and that Russian deal stills hangs over it as Russia not flavour of month
with all Putin gets up to !
