31/7/2018 14:37 | not yet taking part in the big rally in mining stocks today but may move a bit by end of day. But chart now shows a slow short term uptrend . What happend to iron ore today as RIO took off after I stupidly sold to break even ? | arja
26/7/2018 22:57 | Iron ore prices moving up a bit. | its the oxman
19/7/2018 11:21 | There is now. | telbap
17/7/2018 10:22 | JP Morgan price target upped from 250 to 280p. No reaction here though. | its the oxman
17/7/2018 09:21 | Small snippet of news from Rio Tinto report yesterday. Talks about lump rather than pellets. The miner reported record sales of lump iron ore during its fiscal second quarter, as it sought to benefit from elevated prices for high-quality ore. Demand for high-grade lump has surged following a shift in China's more-profitable steel sector toward bigger, greener mills, which run better on premium ore. | bent banana
12/7/2018 17:26 | Oxman, I only hold 8000 shares in this so I can be very patient I have held trades for over 2 years before when they have gone against me, just collected the divi and ended up with a nice profit from the divi and a capital gain way above what my money would ever make in a bank. this company will be sound as soon as ore starts to move up. you just have to be careful with mining companies especially in the footse 250. don't go in too heavy cause you can get burnt very quikly if it goes against you. Amunro those falling knives they do hurt really bad especially if you go in thinking your going to make a fortune and then you get f---ed if you need the funds. Anyway all the best guys and if you don't need the money just ride the storm all in my opinion of course. Ken. | ken tennis
12/7/2018 08:08 | yes, chart in clear downtrend and price could fall more yet although moves downwards steadily giving time to exit . | arja
11/7/2018 20:01 | Trouble is the trend is downwards. Anyone want to grab the falling knife? Been bitten a couple of times like this. You do have to enforce you stop loss or as others have noted forget about them for a couple of years until they come back (and in the meantime the money could be working for you elsewhere). | amunro
11/7/2018 15:19 | Yes suspect it's excellent value now but road to recovery may take a while so patience required. | its the oxman
11/7/2018 15:04 | Looks like trump has really f---ed this one so looks like this goes in the bottom drawer for a few years now. That's the way it goes sometimes but hopefully not every time. Iron ore needs to move up substantially from $62 to $63 range but even if it does I don't think this will get much above £2.00 being as tariffs have now been imposed. I could top up but am not prepared to throw any more at this for now so I will just wait it out. All the best everyone it will come good you just need to be patient. Ken. | ken tennis
06/7/2018 13:34 | The only plus I can see on the chart is the RSI and MACD are showing divergence on the daily chart going back to the drop in April. | slopsjon2
04/7/2018 15:09 | Hopefully scope to bounce with results, which came out early August last year. | its the oxman
04/7/2018 15:02 | Yield over 5% , feeling like the worst may be over, possibly. | its the oxman
04/7/2018 11:57 | dangerous as chart shows a clear downtrend- maybe a bit late to sell it or to short it exceot in a modest way . | arja
03/7/2018 08:30 | Is it safe to buy now it's 175p?? | its the oxman
02/7/2018 07:40 | Vedanta being taken out. Fxpo must look just as appealing to someone. Very oversold down here. | its the oxman
30/6/2018 20:28 | Zho Thank you for your reply very informative. What you say about the 35% tax deduction from the initial Divi of 2.48pence works out almost to the button On what I received. Bit of a blow as I was unaware of this prior to the divi. Well I'm still holding at mo and looks like I will be for a while as I'm averaged at 225 but I think the price of ore should take this up in the next 3 to 6 months. All the best. Ken | ken tennis
30/6/2018 16:59 | ken tennis, Isn't it due to Swiss withholding tax? From a Company document: "The Tax Implications of the Dividends Ferrexpo plc is, for tax purposes, a Swiss resident company. As such any dividend payment which the Company makes will be subject to the current Swiss federal withholding tax rate of 35 per cent (the “Withholding Tax”). The Withholding Tax must be withheld by the Company from the gross distribution and paid directly to the Swiss Federal Tax Administration." AIUI the tax is pretty well impossible to claim back. | zho
30/6/2018 16:51 | Hi perhaps someone could help me and explain why the dividend of 3.30 U.S. cents which converts to 2.48 pence but my dividend paid in only works out at 1.539 pence per share. This is the first dividend I have received from this company. Any help would be much appreciated. I don't normally post on these boards but thaught There may be a few good people that may vent their exspert knowledge on this matter. All the best. Ken. | ken tennis

20/6/2018 20:39 | That's some serious forward planning.... | seroserio
20/6/2018 20:35 | It's the forward PER you need to assess. It's not about the present or trailing one. EPS for 2109 are the key. | thorpematt |
