Not that bad and the presentation was good. This is a well run and solid business that has a growth plan. Buy for the long term. Especially as the CEO is mega invested himself!

doing samed thing and aso with KAZ which is still falling. I think a break about 173 will indicate that a meaningful bounce will happen but dangerous at present if going long .

about the only mining stock to do well today after the early dip. I traded it twice withand CFD to make a bit but not enough movement to make heaos . up and dow like a yoyo and out at 202.20 but might re-enter in closing auction if price seems right . Chart still shpws a nice short term uptrend

The benchmark iron ore spot price rose for a fourth consecutive session on Monday, settling at the highest level since mid-June.
Chinese rebar futures surged to the highest level since February 2013 on Monday, and continue to sit at elevated levels.
China will release manufacturing, non-manufacturing and steel industry PMI reports for July on Tuesday. These have moved markets in the past.

not yet taking part in the big rally in mining stocks today but may move a bit by end of day. But chart now shows a slow short term uptrend . What happend to iron ore today as RIO took off after I stupidly sold to break even ?

Small snippet of news from Rio Tinto report yesterday.

Talks about lump rather than pellets.

The miner reported record sales of lump iron ore during its fiscal second quarter, as it sought to benefit from elevated prices for high-quality ore. Demand for high-grade lump has surged following a shift in China's more-profitable steel sector toward bigger, greener mills, which run better on premium ore.

Oxman,
I only hold 8000 shares in this so I can be very patient I have held trades for over 2 years before when they have gone against me, just collected the divi and ended up with a nice profit from the divi and a capital gain way above what my money would ever make in a bank.
this company will be sound as soon as ore starts to move up.
you just have to be careful with mining companies especially in the footse 250.
don't go in too heavy cause you can get burnt very quikly if it goes against you.

Amunro those falling knives they do hurt really bad especially if you go in thinking your going to make a fortune and then you get f---ed if you need the funds.

Anyway all the best guys and if you don't need the money just ride the storm all in my opinion of course.

yes, chart in clear downtrend and price could fall more yet although moves downwards steadily giving time to exit .
