Anyone know if FKL is the company mentioned in Tom Bulford's latest newsletter?

If so should attract more buyers.

Hmmm,

The fact they fell because DES didnt find oil is the point.

Rockhopper look like they have, and thus FKL should hold up at these levels,
however you can never predict how daft the so called market can be but with
less than 10Million shares in total it is obviously volatile.

Lets put it this way,any more Oil,whoever finds it and FKL will be hard to buy.

Anyone that is now running FOGL stock, and isnt on a free carry- I wish them
good luck,as they certainly have balls unless just taking a very affordable flutter-and nothing wrong with that as just £500 could be the best gamble of a life time.
as I said-You need to have both, and some will have them all.

For a largish investment many will have bought all-in good time-and just now run
free carry stock-though many have missed FKL,possibly as it is now hard to accumulate serious amounts of stock.

IMHO.

Building a refinery/distribution centre on islands would seem sensible if pie hits the sky.

Sco77: yes agreed, but I am just pointing out the difference IF they strike oil.
However, FKL are not immune from a significant fall if the Torora well does not deliver because it fell 25% when Desire did not hit oil (and they don't own any DES shares). I think the present market cap of FKL has a large hope element wrt FOGL but no doubt we shall see in about 6 to 8 weeks time.

mallye although i agree with what you are saying the whole point of beeing in fkl is that it is a somewhat de-risked bet on the falklands as it will benefit from whoever finds oil, obviously it will be even better if fogl find oil.

As well as this you have failed to take into account infrastructure and the huge revenue they could be taking in if there are large discoveries, i believe this will take them past the profitability of owning just fogl shares and you do not factor this in at all.

Just to put things into context wrt valuation of FKL vs FOGL, lets assume the following senarios knowing that FKL own 8.2% of FOGL shares

1. FOGL discover 500m barrels of recoverable oil

FOGL (500m x £5 barrel)/£256 market cap = 10 bagger

FKL (500m x £5 barrel) x 0.082/£43.8 market cap = 4.6 bagger

2. FOGL discover 3000m barrels of recoverable (which becomes very possible if Torora is a gusher)

FOGL (3000m X £5 barrel)/256 market cap = 59 bagger

FKL (3000m x £5 barrel) x 0.082/£43.8 market cap = 28 bagger

From the above it is clear to see where your money needs to be if FOGL comes up trumps. If this happens all the other income from infrastructure buisness etc will be a side show.

FKL have near monopoly so any spend/discovery there benefits it,FTSE 100 in coming years.Topped up before the big rise. OIL: just a question of how much, when imo.

If FOGL get lucky, and you leave that £2.5K alone and pretend you havent got it
in years to come that could be your pension fund.

I do think many are missing the point about FKL though,as FKL benefit from
all Oil,regardless of who finds it,,though obviously those 12Million FOGL shares
could be worth telephone numbers in the future,on top of what FKL alone will
be worth.

Just imagine if the Falkland isles becomes a Mini Saudi Arabia, yet of course
it will be some time before any actual revenues.
The so called Market will catch on to the absurdity of FKL being valued at circa £50 Million,so a serious Multi-bagger potential even massively
discounting the wait for revenues to flow, and all the Saber rattling from the Argies.

With so few shares around-if anything sparks a frenzy to buy,it will go
ballistic.

IMHO.

Richgit - my thoughts exactly. I have about £2.5k worth of "free" shares in FOGL so am thinking of letting it run and then buying a few of this with what I sell as it's a safer bet, derisked (if you will) by RKH.

I havent seen the report mentioned.

However if FOGL strike Oil then this stock will obviously soar in value, and
that is without the 12Million shares they hold in FOGL.

Even without FOGL,the day the Rockhopper find turns into commercial value
then FKL will obviously benefit immensely,so in some ways at current MKT Cap
it is a fairly safe and shrewd purchase, with tremendous upside.

It wont have quite the upside of FOGL stock-if they strike-yet is underpinned
on the downside, whereas.FOGL stock will collapse if the drill is a dud.

Nice to have both, though most investors holding FOGL are probably on a free carry, and should put a few bob into this..

Go to laugh. Bulford's "carefully researched report" is tipping FKL, but he's still saying they own 16% of FOGL, whereas it's down to 8% thanks to sales and dilution from the placing......

Yet if investors put their brains into gear it isnt rocket science to understand
how FKL will benefit from such -potential-massive wealth, regardless of the fact
FKL holds FOGL shares.

As Rockhopper have already found Oil it is all very exciting, and of course
if FOGL do it`s awesome, though the real telephone number returns will be years away until the Oil is selling, but what fun,and of course there will be a lot of money made even for those that aren`t young enough to wait for years.

Some say the next mini Saudi Arabia-it is obviously possible and that`s why it will be one huge rollercoaster ride.

It is at least far more possible than it was for Baltimore to stay in the FTSE 100

-lol.

The price of fogl has only gone up marginally today so the rise here today appears to be solely on the back of a tipsheet recommendation if you read the stuff on the fogl board.

I would be grateful to know peoples views on the merit of FOGL vs FKL at this point in time.

If you strip the fogl element out of fkl what is fkl likely to be worth in value once the oil is commercialised (assuming enough is discovered) based on development opportunities of infrastructure on the island?

The upside in multi bagger terms for fkl is about the same for both companies at present due to the high weighting of fkl's market cap wrt its 8.25% holding in fogl shares.

Thanks

Is there an announcement due at FOGL. I think we are rising due to the rise there. Looking very positive.
