20/9/2010 08:26 | me too. Back in again at these levels. Market caps: ARG £83mn - all based on hope value. No assets yet RKH £808mn - seriously undervalued asset based on Sea Lion, so market cap OK FOGL £170mn - all based on hope value. No assets yet. BOR £356mn all based on hope value (plus some cash). No assets yet FKL £34mn - tangible assets, profits, dividends, cash, track record, well diversified + the upside of a big stake in FOGL so even if SFB does turn out to be a new oil province, the FOGL stake will also provide the oil exploration kicker. | ![]() craftyspeculator
20/9/2010 08:14 | crafty - agree with your final point and topped-up this morning. AJ | ![]() ajinvesting
20/9/2010 08:11 | this is the secret share - it will take weeks for the analysts to figure out that the commercial value of the assets of FKL are in a different league now that oil has been confirmed in North Falkland. Great time to bag some FKL shares as the low share price of FOGL has also been fully factored in. This is the safest way to play the coming gold rush from Falkland oil. | ![]() craftyspeculator
20/9/2010 07:23 | Surprised these haven't woken up yet | pingu08
19/9/2010 20:36 | We are going to see £4 in the morning. Should move on nicely to where it should be the £5-£6 range at least. Congrats to Rockhopper. This is just what the Falkland Islanders deserve. | r_bedding
18/9/2010 00:03 | Now I think we're underpinned for many, many years to come. Well done Pierre Jungels, Sam Moody and the Rockhopper team. Brings a tear to your eye having watched Rocky since he hatched. | ![]() gwr7
11/9/2010 20:19 | Yep got some more last week! Cowardly really as a punt in drillers would probably pay quicker. Divi'll do meanwhile as per goldrush. | ![]() edjge2
10/9/2010 09:29 | BUT....Peeps forget this has got a dividend yield of 2.61% at the current share price..... | ![]() goldrush
10/9/2010 08:09 | My advice is don't use bulletin boards as a learning ground. There are some genuine and informative posters, in my experience about 20%, but they're riddled with nutters and charlatans. A couple of minutes on the internet would have told you that the strategic Stanley Harbour is owned by the Falkland Islands Government and operated on a private contract by a company called Byron McKay Port Services Ltd. | ![]() gwr7
10/9/2010 07:08 | I was under the impression that FKL is building and will own a new port. I accept that "monopoly" was the wrong word. I would like more informed people to post on here so that I can learn. I still think FKL is an under-rated share. | ![]() altom
10/9/2010 00:36 | Please explain how FKL has a virtual monopoly on shipping. Unless you're referring to the Portsmouth Ferry, I suspect you're simply copying what some other muppet has written on here. | ![]() gwr7
05/9/2010 10:42 | Share price is rather disappointing at the moment ( I bought near the top) but this is one to hold long term. It is impossible to believe that Sea Lion is the only puddle of oil in the whole FI region. Eventually one company will hit another one, if not this year then next year surely. Then FKL must start to jump as it has a virtual monopoly on shipping, accommodation and general services in FI's. I take this share to hit £10. in next 4 years which for most investors (other that FI Oilies) is pretty damn good. Will we learn much from the AGM ? I expect most investors here are in DES, RKH etc as well, so fasten seat belts for bumpy ride from now to Christmas, and beyond. | ![]() altom
25/8/2010 17:54 | being tempted now. Suppose next squirter or duster awaiting drowning meanwhile! Probably near bottom of channel, but also on support imo. | ![]() edjge2
23/8/2010 18:08 | another try at 350 coming, buy opp for me! | ![]() edjge2
17/8/2010 11:17 | Bit of action today....topped up myself with another 1000....going to be difficult to get in volume if the news around is good....IMHO | ![]() goldrush
03/8/2010 19:53 | thanks G. First support looks like 340-50. Nice buy if it bounces there. Some saying whole market upswing is DCB! | ![]() edjge2
28/7/2010 22:18 | Timeframe mainly revolves around FOGL spud/drill/gush or dust but FKL share price also rises/falls along with news from the others in the area, as it would corner the infrastructure/logis You only have to look at RKH strike to see the upturn on all Falky based companies when a home run is hit ! If FOGL had hit, then FKL would have been 750+ so it's a long-term hold imo through the combined drilling programme of all the oilers. I thought 390 was a decent buy but it might be better to wait for the support level to show again, which could be between 300-350. | georgio44
28/7/2010 20:07 | I agree 3.40 could be on the cards, little doubt about that. | ![]() envirovision
28/7/2010 18:51 | I was in earlier around this level, considering adding some now and expect it is merely a matter of time before someone makes a rockhoppereske discovery or two. Billiton allied with FOGL so unlikely imo that they'd get it wrong. Gergio44's return timeframe on 390p would be of interest. Maybe headed for 340 odd here from chart. | ![]() edjge2
27/7/2010 14:47 | what time frame would you expect a return on 3.90 then gergio44? | ![]() envirovision
27/7/2010 14:37 | Totally agree Georgio, only wish I was only just spotting it!! DC | ![]() daicaprice
27/7/2010 14:31 | Is a decent buy @ 390 and Hold imo | georgio44
26/7/2010 14:07 | Good fact daicaprice, after two glasses of red wine I wont trade today. Strange how I feel a purchase coming on, will resist. | ![]() noirua |
