felch - 8p in the last financial year, and an interim of 4p for this tax year (though this was paid so that major shareholders would not get clobbered by the new 50% tax rate, FKL usually just pays a final dividend and no interim).

Thanks Whackford for your response, my thoughts were similar, however I had not considered the possible boom in local economy! Going to buy a few and lock away!

Does anyone know the dividend with FKL? I'm looking at this as a long term investment in light of events in the NFB.

Crimeprotection - the downside has now radically changed with the RKH success. Before that I would have said about £2, perhaps a shade more. You can get to this figure either from the balance shheet, or by stripping out the FOGL element. Assuming RKH 's find is developed, we will see an emerging oil industry in the FI. This will radically alter the value of FIC (Falklands Islands Company) 100% owned by FKL. We will see retail, housebuilding, insurance etc all boom. IMHO FKL is very underpriced - it sometimes went over £5 when we were years away from "getting a rig".

Not a concern for me, Rockhopper's find is just the start. Sit back and watch. Decades of business in this for FKL.

What must be the downside here with diappointing drill results, £2.50-£3.00?

once more people catch onto this share, it will rocket, and with fogl drilling next gives you a great link to hopefully promising results.

Just purchased 300 shares at £4.115 early on this morning. Stock purchase seems a bit difficult and was held over from Friday and only accepted on 'fill or kill'.

If FOGL strike oil what will FIH's 8% holding be worth then? Answers on a postcard. Seems way undervalued to me.

Definitely looking good, expect to see further discoveries over the next few months. Topped up this morning after the RKH news... GLA

Rockhopper are already talking about an additional well adjacent to Sea Lion.

I can imagine things really booming in the Falklands. Obviously FGL should be treated as a long term investment.

After DES's recent announcement I think it's looking even more promising for at least one major oil discovery (DES, FOGL, BOR, RKH) sometime this year. Just a bit of patience required, but looks like a good entry point here to me. That's the good thing about this co., it will benefit regardless of who makes the discovery.
