22/8/2022 09:21:13 | Lucky, don't think anyone has the answer as no one knows since this is such an unusual position. Unprecedented ?
If you fee was waived then ching, ching, mine cost me £35 + Vat through ii. Spoke with them on 18th and had paper about 3 days later, well impressed.
Can't do owt now so just sit back and wait for any news....... | casket1
20/8/2022 09:45:48 | It's a standard letter they send out when you request a paper copy of your shares. When a company is still on the register it's handled by Computershare via their website. This won't apply now EVR have been removed. Expect a letter from Computershare stating so soon. | gaffer73
20/8/2022 08:51:24 | And off the Reading on here yesterday that computershare will no longer be holding shares on register I just wonder why I've been told to sign up for computershare in a letter From EVR | luckyclicker
20/8/2022 08:46:30 | Hi can anybody help me as I feel a bit confused I received my paper certificates from Halifax there was a £25 charge for each but they wave the fees as I had shares in normal account and ISA also received a letter A welcome letter 4 me as a shareholder from EVR telling me to sign up for computershare which I did did and also a return envelope for me to send to computershare for for dividends to be paid to my bank account if that ever happens which I sent shares are showing in computershare type certificate it says signed up on 17th and the shares were not showing in account on the 19th yesterday but today I checked and they are showing again does anyone know if my certificates are still valid should I have not signed up for computershare really feel a bit confused about the situation thanks in advance for anyone who who replies | luckyclicker
19/8/2022 17:35:54 | Yes - dook types rubbish constantly.
The actual paper certs will follow from Computershare.
In about 4 weeks I understand.
The planned sale of the North American assets will be significant.
Canada, Colorado etc. With a massive complex in the Rocky Mountains near Pueblo.
Employing c20,000 locals.
US interest will be intense - because of the demand for different types of steel, for different industries. | botuney9
19/8/2022 14:23:33 | If Computershare are no longer the registrars why did I receive a letter yesterday from them asking if I wanted future dividends (dividend mandate / currency election form) to be paid in £ (instead of US$)
Seems a little strange if they have no involvement after today ??? | casket1
19/8/2022 09:38:43 | As of today Computershare are no longer the registrars - see the RNS of 18 July. | zangdook
19/8/2022 09:37:31 | Not when they take Evraz off the register. | gaffer73
19/8/2022 09:30:52 | Computershare are the company registrars - based in the UK - and most things can be done online. If not all. | botuney9
18/8/2022 20:21:57 | I vaguely remember you had to get the transfer form stamped as well.
Needing a transfer form creates problems if the company registrar resides in another country re posting it, tracking it, proof of delivery and time that takes. | scrwal
18/8/2022 17:09:12 | lol @ idiots. | neutralpov
18/8/2022 08:57:40 | I haven't done it for a long time, but as I recall you'd fill in a transfer form and send it to the registrars with the certificate. Now that Evraz themselves are maintaining the register you'd probably want to ask them how to go about it. | zangdook
18/8/2022 06:42:27 | Zangdook,
How do you go about buying shares that are suspended like EVR, just get the share certs with a signed receipt from the seller and then get the name changed on certs? is it that simple? | turvart
18/8/2022 01:12:26 | Yes, your money is locked up - unless you really need to raise money now and can find a private buyer, you'll need to wait patiently and see what transpires. My guess is that you'll get more by waiting than by trying to get rid of them now - darkest before the dawn and all that - things can hardly get worse. | zangdook
17/8/2022 20:41:52 | I'm unsure about IB but I imagine you could request a paper copy of your shares if you want. They'll probably charge you for it though. Unfortunately it doesn't guarantee you'll ever see any of your money. | gaffer73
17/8/2022 17:05:18 | i have shares in Interactive Brokers, do i have to do anything? Tell me please, my money is locked up and im down alot...i want to get atleast something for them, any help is appreciated! | xenomorph1
17/8/2022 14:39:30 | Glad they turned up. Mine took a good two weeks. Hopefully they'll still be worth something in the future. | gaffer73
17/8/2022 13:39:34 | gaffer73,
You were bang on mate, got the paper cert today, took basically 4 weeks from start to finish because I acted on the same day as the RNS. I'm glad it's all sorted and nice it's not showing in my portfolio in Barclay's, set me back 12 months this episode, I had 30% of my portfolio in EVR, could of been worse I suppose, oh well time to put in bottom cupboard and move on. | turvart
15/8/2022 19:51:01 | You'll get your cert through the post, it just takes a couple of weeks. | gaffer73
11/8/2022 20:22:25 | Paper certs are simply the best option.
Our reputable brokers and banks aren't capable of predicting the future.
In a post-war economic world - with no idea where the registry may turn up. | botuney9
11/8/2022 20:22:20 | The proceeds from the sale of the US assets will be held outside Russia. The funds could then be used to buy the shares held by non Russians without being caught by sanctions. Looks like there is going to be a delisting from the LSE and it may trade on the Moscow markets, or more likely kept as a private company for Abramovich etc | scrwal
