You've got plenty of support on here kiwi, for your balanced and reasonable posts and your useful knowledge. I for one welcome your input, whether pessimistic or the reverse.

I too have lost a packet on this stock over the past few years, although I pocketed some decent gains along the way - buying at 13, out at 24, back in at 22 and selling out at 35 on the bid talks for instance. But I jumped back in at 18....and 13... and 5, before selling out at 8. But then in again at 3, out at 1.8, in at 1.2, where I still am with my paltry 500k.

I suspect I'll never get this stock right!

GM all....sorry to read someone bad-mouthing a fellow poster especially when the person talks sense!

Thought the BB was for well thought out opinions and discussion with some humour to make it more pleasant when company in current situation.

I appreciate 80% of the posts.....just 20% that I'd mow down with my strimmer ;-)

Hi guys you probably won't remember me, but I was buying on the way down at 5p and got badly burnt here - I was in good company at the time!

Have watched ever since, and have enjoyed reading the thorough posts, speculation and ideas.

Good luck - I am a terrible gambler I'm afraid so if I do chance a few more to try and recover my losses (historically fatal for me)its probably 0.005p on the cards...

Well done chian - a great call just before the recent rise - I was tempted seeing how much you bought...

But didn't of course - far too cheap!

Back to the here and now, odd strategy by Hermes... Is the 500K a signal of some sort? £5K disposals don't have the institututional ring about them somehow.

I remember kiwihope. I bought ELH at 9p, it rose to 13p, then the fundraising was at 5p instead of 10p and I was lucky to get out at 9p. You should listen to him. There's a problem of trust with ELH. That said I'm interested in making a quick buck, maybe on ELH, but I won't get carried away.

CH...

Thanks for your reply. You may think I'm a morbid sod. That's your privilege. I have had an interest in eurodis for some time ... I own a small electronics company, I buy products from them (as well as their competitors), I have held their shares on and off for many years, I live in Reigate and I pass their HQ (and Steve Swaynes house) often. With all due respect, I think I know a hell of a lot more about this company than you do. You may not like what I say but whereabouts does it say that only blind optimists are allowed to post here. And as for popping up every so often ... would you prefer I posts worthless statements every 5 minutes like some others I could mention.

I have certainly been very optimistic about eurodis in the past, as have some others. A fellow poster of some years ago, jurgan, lost a packet on them (so I believe). I have lost money but no where near as much. This experience does change opinions. Sure I'm cautious ... but some of you guys here are just absolutely blind optimists. I happen to like some of the regular posters and if I feel I can add something then I do. If you don't like it then filter me.

jordaggy, someone on here mentioned DR works mainly from home and occasionally goes to the office. He has delivered what he set out to do last year (restructure the business). I think the employees will be more acquainted with the CEO (Swayne).

Speculation stakes

Think I'll stick with Rutronik, but just had an odd thought... how about a merger with ATeG,which is composed of private companies? Sitting under our noses as it were.

Odd thing about my little chat with the sales guy on Monday, was that the guy I spoke to clearly had staff working for him - yet he didn't know who Doug Rogers was !!! I had to tell him...I think DR is very much detatched from ELH, he's there at the insistance of Artemis, never comes into the office, that said, he's only re-mitt is to turn the company around anyway he can as a going concern - nothing todo with ego - simply business - and he's an expert !
keep the faith guy's.

Treat all rumours with caution guys. Just after the last fund-raising I had regular contact with a salesman from eurodis. He was very upbeat and said all their problems were behind them (he would of course ... he was after all trying to sell me their products!). Since then the only success has been cost cutting, which was essential, but the hoped for rise in sales hasn't occurred.

I was a holder during the last bid talks ... I remember wondering if I should sell at 40p, but no, I was sure the company would go for nearer 50p. Then the talks collapsed, the true horrors emerged and the rest, as they say, is history. I've no doubt DR is doing an excellent job, with the hand he has been dealt. But I always remember a Buffet quote ... When a company with a poor reputation meets a management with an excellent reputation, it's invariably the company that wins ...

Mike, Further, the work force a looking forward to the merger as an enlarged group.

I have to say I am with Momentos on these rumours. Would news or at least staff be talking about it. I forget who had a chat with some staff at Eurodis yesterday but all that was reported They were upbeat and biusness as usual. If I were in their situation I would be nervous and a bit chatty. With that said Pippin is right "Time will tell" about 15 days worth.

If the institutions have been approached re a further fund raising, we would probably know by now. They are just SO leaky!

momentos - pete's postings are inevitably going to be unsubstantiated. However, to me they have a ring of truth about them. We will see.

nope, still unsubstantiated BS. Still holding, for other reasons.

Pete, your facts can carry no more weight than the market says to me, ie down 0.05p. Your statements remain comletely unsubstantiated.
