Worst day of my shareholding days. Have quite a few at average 3 something and been holding since around 2006. EUA poor to thanks to idiot putin and JLP stagnating due to poor communication. Hooe for better days for all.

Nobody knows....they will need to crunch the data and find out why Jade was dry and see how this affects Topaz. Going to take a lot of time.

I should add that the gas cloud RNS I thought was a complete sucker punch.

Yes to be honest I was looking to follow a similar plan. Did offload about 10% end of last week but unfortunately was busy in London yesterday and had wrongly assumed would have plenty of time to sit down and revist my risk strategy before target depth. Certainly did envisaging it coming in dramatically under time! Just looking back at my figures and probably, given profits made back in the day on Eagle Pool drilling and the Dempsey rise, am still in profit but nowhere near where I would have envisaged being over this time. Might as well have put it in an all share tracker! Still, I think there is still some value here. Tom has an uncanny knack of weaving some magic to get projects off the ground.. unfortunately most tend not to deliver. Hopefully he can weave some magic so I can get my current holding value to somewhere where I feel the time invested has been worth the while.

Currypasty, in this RNS:

Under the heading 'Well objective', the first paragraph explains the CoS. The second paragraph after that then explains the gas cloud factor.

I did not get at the time and said as much: why having established the CoS the company then bigs up the prospect in the manner that they did?

I know Buffy explained the significance of the clouds at the time, but it was how the co. presented the case that seemed strange. And then I think it was tgg who pointed out that issuing a mid-drill update that was unusual as well.

As I said at the time, given the CoS I was not expecting an RNS with the word pleased in it and sized my investment appropriately. Still hurts though.

I must admit gas clouds and increased COS were the deciders to hang on

Its been tuff today for sure.. weve been here a very very long time.... and still nothing to show, i did take more top ups recently considering a positive outcome to hopefully make my time and money invested here worth while, but seams its all gone even more T#ts up. Circa 2.5p is a v low level so have taken more this morning bringing my average on recent buys down and hopefully decrease my losses.... time will tell of course.... GL.. :/

If your stop-loss were not triggered yesterday, it would have been triggered today at 1.8p something.

What happens to the post in the header ADVFN biggest? Must likely have lost another -70% here, just like on MATD, JOG, afren..............................

The CLNs really messed things up and there was no volume to really absorb them. They should have done a placing again and pay them off/ cancel the cln.

I think everyone wanted it to rise and de-risk with a free ride.

I wonder if Baillard knew about it. They went below 3%, so any selling afterwards would not be notified.

I’m devastated to be honest 🤦🏻🙈😩
Was hoping to offload some in the mid teens on a drill progress rns (something like we are drilling ahead of schedule and about to drill through the seal) or even an oil show rns
We got neither
Also the cln’s selling stopped the rise in its tracks or we would have had a de risk chance (for those who wanted one)
And also we would have had another chance if the gsa was announced
All in all a perfect storm against a mid teens de risk off load for me personally

I know a lot of you guys have been here forever and really deserved a better outcome, certainly all the signs were there that it was a gusher. Lost a few quid myself and really should have paid attention to the large selling yesterday. Absolutely stank that, but the market is bent.

Hope everyone is reasonably ok. We live to fight another day.

"what if the drill bit was clogged and didn't let any of the rock cores through and the wireline logs show there is actually oil there!? straws and grasping comes to mind"

Your flippancy could cost the naive mug punter money. Or your stupidity could cost you money. Have some respect for the losses suffered by people today and hope that nobody blames you.

Be careful.

Wireline logging is essentially just run to confirm and correlate data observed while drilling.
